buying a guitar

im thinking about buying a guitar, and im just wondering what would be a good kind for a beginner, electric, acoustic, or what? any ideas i would like to know

First things first. You can go to your local music store and buy a beginner's Strat Pack for about $250. I think an acoustic would suit you best for a couple of reasons. It's not as loud as an electric guitar setup, a decent acoustic should cost less then a decent electric setup, and they usually have thicker strings so it will build strength and endurance in your fingers. Secondly, to go above and beyond your question, you should eventually get a metronome to help you play on time better assuming you want to join a band someday or be a good guitarist. for a begginer get acoustic but if your really interestion in power chords an electric but an epiphone

depends upon your style..i luv bass so i bought a bass guitar...never really played acoustic.

As a beginner go for acoustic thats always better so you can get your self synchrozing.
