I have 3 warts on my hands, I got them while working at the coffee shop. I never really paid attention to them until they got bigger.
My doctor wanted $50 to burn them off, I simpled not spending $150 on them.
I tried all these over the counter products, nothing works, so I haveleft them. I always hit them off things, they bleed, or get scabby, but they all heal back up to regular warts.
Many when I point them out dont even know they art warts, which I think maybe a good think.
I started looking it up online, warts can stay up to 2 years then just fall off, the virus can be passed from hand to hand, so example if it broke open and I touch someone they can get it. It's part of the HPV virus, and that is why it is so contagious.
I tried some home rememdies, sometimes putting duck tape over it for 2 weeks will kill it off.
I am going to wait and go to the doctors in the summer, and tell him how they keep breaking open and spreading, and I tried a few things, most times my doctor if I visit him (as he gets paid), he will do it for free, I normally try to do it when I need to go for something else.

I had a ton of warts on my hand when I was a kid. My dad used to cut the top layer off with his pocket knife and then put Compound W on them. I don't know how much this actually helped because he did this for a long time. Eventually they just went away though. I have not had one in about 25 years now.

I don't know that much about them but I have heard that they can reappear, even after being burned off by a doctor. The virus is apparently carried inside the body and can flare up here and there as warts.
I have had a few, but they always disappear after awhile.

If you're really brave, you could take a soldering iron to them...
Or if you know where to get dry ice, that's what the doctor usually uses.

You obviously don't know how I am. I would probably end up screwing that up.
Last time I had a wart I went to the doctor for something else, I asked about it and he did it for free (but because I was there for an appointment).
I went for my physical and he said it's completely normal but since then it's been spreading on the top of my hands. So he may do it for free, so when I have to get the blood work sheet, I will ask about it.

I had to deal with a wart on one of my feet when I was younger and though it wasn't something that people saw on a regular basis, it was something that was bothersome to me. i went to my doctor over this particular seed wart (also known as a plantar wart) and he gave me a prescription for a medication that would help to freeze it off. I had to put the medication on it once per day right before bedtime and it only took a few weeks for it to be gone. I would check with the doctor and see if something like this would work for you.

The burning them off/out method is different as "freezing" them. It's not said that the first method will help. They can come back. The idea of freezing them is to kill the cells so they are not able to grow, starve and it falls off. It's not said that method works with everybody. Some people get warts very easily (everywhere) others never or for a short period. It's a virus and you can infect yourself with it and others. So I would tape it off esp. if you hit them. Might be they are gone in 2 years time but it's seldom that way. The counter products might not all be working but it must be possible to find something that does work. Over here they say that the methods to freeze it are the same as the doctor is using. Since warts are tumors you can try this as well: soda (works against wild flesh) baths several times a day for 5-10 min. Iodine tablets (it's given to people with cancer/tumors as well, you could take a lower dose). They say that the "juice" in the stem of the dandelion works as well (put it on the wrats).

I can tell you why the are spreading it's because your touching them. The more you touch them the more you move all around yourself. It's important not to touch them at all. So I would put a band aides on them to help keep them for spreading because other people can get them from you as well.
