Many Leaders are clamoring for world peace. Is there really a possibility that we can attain world peace? Non Organizations mostly organized in attaining unity and helping others but what is really the best antidote in achieving a one common goal ? That is a peaceful world to live full of adventure and happiness.

Hi, and welcome to MyLot! As long as there is mass production of weapons and military gears of all typers, there will be non-peaceful intentions to support this industry. This is a huge indistry and no world leading nation will benefit from a total world peace, unfortunately. Supporting the warfare industry and the lack of natural resources will always provoke warfare actions in certain parts of the planet and this is something we have to live with. I hate it, but it's a fact. Or, for example, nations that are starving and extincting of common curable illnesses. There the pharmaceutical giants call the shots and this is another major industry that needs to be supported, that's why so many people are artificially caused to starve and die...

Uniting everyone who is craving for world peace may do the job, but I'm still not sure. I don't knwo if you remember in the late 90's a 6-year-old girl stood up before the Unated Nations (I'm not sure about the organization) and made more than 15 minute speech about the world peace and how children want to live peacefully and with living families. Most of the audience applaused and cried with admiration, but what changed since then? Absolutely nothing. There will always be superpowers that will consider profit much more important life.

Yes, that's true, what I mean world peace just enough to embrace humanity as a whole and be as one, with one Earth to live. We have super powers today but just observed without superpowers what will happen? Explore your imagination to places around the Globe. What did the leaders do with their citizenry. abused of power is eminent almost everywhere their constituent with no food to eat while leaders enjoying a wonderful life. Who pacify the agony of their citizens? It is the Superpowers. Superpowers are not good if they are not acting as stabilizer. no man is an Island and no Island can stand alone without a Leader. We will just pray that our leaders will be of great moral values for us to be on the right tract.

Your right but anyway it is a part of life that we do not want to adhere but it is there. We like it or not WE are already a part of it. But was there not a saying? That big things start from little things. If it is so, there might be a way. Understanding of human nature and understanding of the conditions of the mother Earth we are residing is much more tricky than world peace. They are part of a whole as a nation and we are all part of where we are today. I think cooperation from among us towards a common goal world peace will be achieved. As long as you are there who believed in peace and so am I and our friends out there nothing is impossible WORLD PEACE is attainable.

I don't believe that those politician know the way of peace themselve and they sure cannot teach it to everybody else if they don't know it. Nobody knows the way of peace.

Right, but is it not ? that the basic of them being elected by the people is because their promise of peace and prosperity. Usually politician is corrupted by the system if not they themselves are corrupt from the beginning. The corruption I mean is the way of life wherein insinuated by private individuals for a certain favor they want to achieve. The constituent has a big role for corruption to succeed. In corruption there is already war within so we must stop it from within to acquire peace and if done world wide as a whole there will be world peace.

Word peace is very hard to attained. One big reason is business. I will just site one example for this. The business for weapons. There will be a great loss for the business if there will be no war. Mass weapons production all over the world is one of the biggest business. No war, means no money. So, some people initiate some scenarios that may result war just to sustained their business. There's a lot of reason why we cannot easily attain war.

Good. a very nice observation, but I think there is a possibility weapons business is still a business without war. How it will happen is within the context how will the people attain to unite and face the inevitable problems of the deteriorating planet earth. To attain World Peace is for the Leaders to act as role model. How will they encourage their constituent to embrace peace is a another issue for to date each nation is aiming for Supremacy.

what you said is a perfect world, but nothing in the world is perfect, even in the Universe, but just the imperfection made us be able to talk it here

Thank you, but would you agree that after imperfection comes perfection. For example, you want to build a house of your own and you want everything in order just as you wanted it to be. You may not acquire it on an instant but step by step you can do it. After doing all things in order at your very own home then you can explore to your neighborhood, freely without worrying what happened at home. We are just one of the so many planets in the Universe. How can we explore and visit our neighboring planets? If we are not united and instead wasting our own planets resources to nothing.

Well, I think that all the world leaders should sit down together and talk about the things that are really pissing them off. Talk about why they're at war with each other. It will never happen because the leaders would just fight over where the meeting should be held. Really, it would take a lot of determination and patience. No one has any of that any more.

Nice idea..thanks for sharing. Yes it is true. I think some Leaders may qualify but it is not a matter of the wants of the Leaders for World Peace. Maybe the key factors is the eagerness of the people under them to encourage their Leaders to attain peace.
