Did anybody else take part in the fantasy league on nfl.com? I did and after about 11 or 12 weeks I understand that commercial that used to come on when everyone was upset about their teams losing..I was only successful in making the right picks maybe three times..to be a girl and know enough about football to do it should be an achievement in itself but I can't help but to feel terrible..that's ok though..PieceBeSteel..my team name will be back in september with a better record..

I played a fantasy league 2 seasons ago (well, 3 now, technically), and I was horrible!
This was the year before Manning got hurt. It was the year the Packers and Steelers played in the Super Bowl, the year after Manning and his Colts went and lost to New Orleans. So, thinking I knew about football, I grabbed Manning, the Steeler's D (which wasn't a horrible choice), AP, and I think I mighta got a few solid WRs.
But my problem was that I NEVER changed my lineup. I didn't toy with it. I won the first 2 weeks, then I left it alone. And I never won again.
I didn't play for free, either. I paid $50 to play in a pool with my brother and his friends. It was embarrassing.
It's not really for me. I want to watch the games and appreciate the chess match. I don't like having to root for Peyton to throw for 300 and 2 TDs to boost my score. I like watching the pregame shows and seeing the interviews and profiles; I don't want to log on and tinker with players before every game.
Knowing about football isn't enough. You have to be dedicated to the fantasy process of watching the wire, making the right moves, trading, replacing players, etc. And I can't bring myself to appreciate that much involvement.
