There is always a scope to improve. We have to compete with ourself. So what is the one improvement suggestion you want to give to others? Advice#1: Don't compete with others. Compete with your your own potential.

It's so true! If you are going to compare yourself with others, you're going to give up... because everyone is stronger in different areas, and if you choose a person who's ab ovo better than you, for example, at drawing, you would think that this whole self-improvement crap isn't worth anything, and you won't do it, because you're unlucky blablabla... when the only problem is that you aren't aware of your own limits and compare yourself to other people...

That's true. We shouldn't compare with others. Identify your weak areas & improve upon them. As simple as that.

That advice is golden. :) Like the term SELF-improvement states, it is a journey where YOU and only YOU will go through it. It is redundant and energy-draining to try to put others into the journey and compete with them. By doing so, you won't experience any progress, but rather stress and pressure. But instead of that, if all you did was challenge your own self at YOUR own steady and comfortable pace, self-improvement would be a fun thing to go through. :) Oh, besides that, a person must also be confident to try new things if they do want to improve.
