Yeah, I have heard of it and seen it. It is used in the construction of furniture, decorative lattice work, doors and even buildings. It comes from the coconut palm and is considered by some to be a hardwood. It is used in the philippines as construction material.

Yeah, back in the Philippines, quite a number of people prefer to use this in constructing houses, etc. There's even a famous structure back there, the Coconut Palace that is mostly made of coco lumber.

Indeed coconut lumber is lumber sawed off from old coconut tree trunks. They're available here in Samar and truly they make amazing building materials. Is coconut lumber available in other parts of Philippines? in other countries?

It is considered an exotic here and difficult to find. You have to remember that a virus got into American and Bahamian coconut trees years ago, and almost wiped them out. We now have a strain that is resistant to the virus, but no one grows them for lumber or even coconuts except in the islands.

Coco lumber is used as construction materials. It is used for scaffoldings too. It is quite cheaper than the other lumbers. Good Day!

Did you use coconut lumber for scaffoldings while building your house? Are there plenty of coco lumber in your place?
