It depends. Now I have a boyfriend, I spend a little less time with my family... It's unfortunately really rare when all of us can get together, that's like twice a week or so especially now that I can only spend my weekends with my boyfriend... but I spend some time throughout the week with each of my family members.

I meant once in every two weeks, not twice a week...

honestly I rarely see or spend time with my mom or dad. I didn't live with them all my life and they rarely call me unless they want something. after a while it got very aggravating and annoying so I stopped trying. I lived with my grandparents and I I use to see them both almost everyday. my grandfather has passed but I see my grandma at least once a week but it is usually more than that. I even stay the night at her house to help her out.

I have thought of working in another country coz I feel that there are bigger opportunities abroad. But I was scared of losing my family's love. And the thought of beibg away from them for a long time is unbearable. But, I do have respect to all those who sacrificed a lot for their familues. My dad also worked abroad for 8 years and it is indeed hard for all of us to bid goodbye afyer his short vacation. There was no email messaging back then nor cellphones. And our only means of conmunication was through writing letters and a call atleast twice a month. But my dadcones hone every 6months, and during summer vacation, we come to him and spend two months with him.

As part of life we are all faced having to live away from family. But it's all in how you maintain your relationship with your family. Even physicallly distant from them, the closeness we feel about our family will always be there. Welcome to myLot, by the way... It's almost feel like we are all a big family here. Through constant interactions in discussions, we can still feel close to others here even though we might never meet in person. The key to maintain that is to have mutual communications.

I am living far away from my family but every other month my parents came here to visit us and stay for a few days. Sometimes i also want to stay in my province for a while to be with my sisters, niece and nephews but because of my busy schedule i rather asked them to visit us here at home which is more flexible to me. I am just hoping that someday that i could stay with them even for a week.

It really depends on what kind of family you mean. For my husband and kids we are together all of the time. For our extended family, we don't see them often. Honestly, we really don't want to. Our families (on both sides) really annoy us. They don't approve of how we do things, they think we are too strict with our kids, 3 of them have special needs so we have to do things a certain way, and we just aren't willing to put up with the criticism and disapproval.
