I make jewelry and headbands mostly for fun and escape but I'd like too start selling them too make some money. I've tried posting on craigslist and facebook but no luck. Does anyone have any selling tips or experience at selling crafts? Does anyone else do crafts or art too escape stress? what do you make?

Hi there ! You are so hardworking and talented ! An admirable trait , though so busy but still finding time for those stuff , and the beautiful thing there is you are already unwinding at same time making it a side line yielding some amount..Wow ! I guess you start selling it with friends whom you are meeting daily or some parents in the school where your son is or to your neighborhood there ! If your done in lower level go up to higher level , try to bring it in malls . Try to rent a small space in a mall , so your products will be exposed to the public , if many will discover you product ,i guess later you could have unexpected returns. Keep up that good work friend !

yup, i always have some sort of crafty thing on the go. right now, i am gluing tiny flat shell pieces onto a picture frame and doing some crocheting and i would love to start some cross stitching as well. i love all sorts of arts and crafts, especially paper collage which ephemera and cool dodads. as for selling your stuff, have you tried etsy? i am also sure there are other craft sites that are out there that you could try. maybe try googling sites to sell your jewelry on.

I make jewellery too and I sell it at local markets. I also meet with a group of older ladies each week and we do crafts and have lunch and various other things. They love to look at my bits and pieces too and they are my best customers. I've heard of people having success on Facebook with their home based craft business. Do you know what went wrong?

Have you tried selling at local craft fairs? We have Trades days once a month here and people seem to do pretty well at that. There is also a website called Etsy. I didn't have much luck on etsy but it is specifically for craft businesses so you might check it out.

CatGods offers the very best advice. I sell online to, at Trade Shows, Craft shows, flea markets, and all over. Word of mouth is the best. Carry some small items with you all the time. Get some business cards from Vista Print. And get over being shy! Best of luck to you.

When I was doing some crafts before, I would offer it to my close friends. There are sites where you can post you articles but you can also create you own website. Then the site that you created shall be the one that you have to promote. Make sure the information you provided therein is complete so that the client would know where to find you just in case. Have a nice day!

If you want to sell the stuff you make I'd suggest trying etsy. There's tons of people who sell crafts and other things they make. Look into it and see if it would be the right thing for you

i think this is your talent... you have used your talent in making and now you have to use one more talent to sell that. i think you have to make some better sale wording, means attrActive heading for sales.
