Last monday, I went with my friend, Jackie and her b/f to go apply to two places for a job. One is an asian supermarket and another is a restaurant. My friend, Jackie applied for both. her b/f, jared is there to mentioned of a second phone call for a follow up on going second interview. However, I was just there for pre screen interview. Both stores are opening up and hiring. However, I was looking for data entry/computer related, but I told him i would be open for bakery or cashier. However, the person who talked to me said there may be openings at the corporate office in Buena Park regarding my field. He did say I'm over qualified for the positions in the area I went to. Generally I don't think I've been told about being over-qualified but probably feel like I was going to be overqualified. Why can't everyone just hire everyone whether temporarily, or whatever? Generally I know retail and stores in general are not my thing because one, I know and feel like they aren't going to hire me and 2, I'm not really into cashiering or retail store stuff. I do want a job just for something to do but I don't know anymore. I just hope I can get a job again. Another thing, on the second place we went to, I also sent my resume and job application too. I did not get an application, but got a blank copy of an application to fill out. I submitted my info and resume and I did not get a text or call. however, next day, I heard from jackie that she got a text message from the 2nd place the restaurant she applied too for a job interview. I did not get a text or call from them. So far, jackie's bf, jared had his 2nd interview on that supermarket job, and he got the job. Jackie got an interview too from Restaurant, and she just posted up that on facebook and she got the job. And what did I get? I got left with nothing!! I did not get anything at all!. I am looking for some work to do. Not only that I've seen other friend statuses about how they are getting an interview and next thing they posted that they got a job. I've been reading and hearing statuses about how they have applied and got interview. Then I see status post of they got the job. This is my rant for this week. I also posted on my status on how I am frustrated that people are posting they got interview and then next thing they got that job. I think I'm even over-qualifed for that 2nd place we went to as well. That's why they didn't bother to text me. They text her. She confirmed appointment. I hate this. Sometimes I feel nothing comes good for me in this year yet. I may plan some other alternative as well. I am also planning on joining AIr Force Reserve because I find there may be some opportunities to learn by. I'm trying not to give up and to be patient. All these people on fb posting they are having interview and then they go the job, is making me ugh! And I don't know if I will post such good news on facebook or tell people if I have a job or gotten hired. I feel I have nothing accomplished. I'm not getting answers to my prayers yet.

I have found out that you don´t have to put everything in your resume. You must target it depending on what you want. I know what is to be overqualified; it´s as bad as being underqualified. So, if you can not tell some of your accomplishments, it is better sometimes. Luck and keep trying. Never give up!

Hi there! I hope you are doing well. Thanks for your response. :) Thanks for the tips. I think as we gain more experiences, I don't need to add obsolete or everything to the resume. It sucks about being overqualified. Thanks for the good luck. I won't give up. As for being underqualified, is that something like not qualified or less qualified? As for accomplishments on a resume, i just put some but not all.
