I heard this rumor saying that, the gas price might drop to $2.50 per gallon, since our oil supply won't be entirely depends on foreign suppliers such as Iran, or Iraq those Middle East countries. The North America already start provide some those oil to the local refinery to supply our own gasoline. So, we would expect the price to drop significant in the near future. Especially in the state of Texas, North Caroline, Alabama, etc.... those states with well - known cheap gas price. What do you think?

I am not sure how much oil does USA has. Regardless, the middle east is still the main exporter and the price is greatly dependent on them. If they decide to cut off all supplies, the price will escalate regardless of USA effort to release whatever they have.

I am from India and here the situation is totally different. Here the price is increasing wit out any specific reason. Our government has no direct control over the petroleum product because this sector is now privatised.

The gas prices will drop but it will not be that significant. As far as gas in North Carolina. I hate that they are planning on fracking in NC. I do hope that it does not pass but unfortunately the politicians are salivating at the chops to get to the $. I am afraid that after they start fracking our water will be worthless as well as our land. I am opposing the fracking as hard as I can.
