How to get a long life? is it meditation good practice?

May people suggesting medication gives long and healthy life. Is it true? what do you think how to get a long life?

I heard that meditation is really good for us and it can help you to reduce sense of loneliness,while i think it's good for me to stop thinking about things that bother me.I use it to make my heart quiet.

I think it can get you a longer life, or at least healthier, because if you meditate, you get rid of stress, and stress is responsible for a lot of diseases.
