My very first discussion board, whoo hoo! I am going to go on a rant about woman, and their shenanigans. I moved down south 2 years ago with the mindset of thinking I would have no troubles finding new friends, I mean they have the reputations of being "southern Belles". One would think that means sweet, honest, caring, lovaeble, understanding, kind woman. Boy was I DEAD wrong. Woman in the south don't like other woman. It is a competition to who has the most money from there trust funds, whos boyfriend spoils them more, how much money Daddy gave them this week, what kind of purse they were using for the day. And most importantly who has the longest blonde hair. I HATE SOUTHERN BELLES, every aspect of what they represent I'd love to literally poop on them. Nothing is cute about insecurtires, nothing is cute about not knowing how to WORK HARD.

I am from the half-south, not the deep south, but that attitude is there as well. It's a;ways about what you have and how many people like you and yada yada. I couldn't stand it. I just stayed as far out as I could.

Well not all women in the south are the way you are describing them here. I am a southerner and I do not act like that. I am a loving, sweet and caring person. I am a wife and a mother and I love being both of those things! =-) I could care less about the latest fashion or how much money anyone else has... I wish those were my worries in life, ha! Not even close, I have real problems to worry about. It sounds like you are in some rich part of the South because they sound very snobbish. I assure you, not everyone in the south acts the way your saying here. I hope you enjoy being on MyLot!
