when a person you like disappear

Stressed out and bored I surf on my old phone until I read a blog post full of wisdom... and one day the author dies, it's the only time I get to know him. I've enjoyed reading his posts in the latter half of last year. He had written stuff that turns the frail to strong. It's like his mission is accomplished and there's no other reason left to live. Do you think there are many more who choose to live that kind of life? Who is the closest you can think of?
