Yesterday, I was traveling in a metro. But unfortunately there was no seat to sit and I had to travel while standing where I saw a two year kid playing with iPhone of his father. First he asked his father for the phone, than by his small tiny index finger, he unlock the phone and than he flip the screen to go to games icon and start playing one of the game. And after some time, he went on the you tube to watch one of his favorite videos and after a little while and turn on the camera and started to take his photo. He was not struggling to hold the phone properly yet he was able to do a lot of things. Oh my god, now 2 year kids are becoming gadget freak. Watching kids are treat to eyes. Have you my lotters experience some extraordinary kids doing something special.

I think this is not good for kids because if they can't enjoy their childhood as we did, and they start playing videogames and having iphones by the age of 2 or 3 years they won't appreciate anything by the time they'll be 18...

I firmly believe that we should not compare today's kid lifestyle with ours when we were kid. We have to appreciate generation gap. You can't keep today's kid from gadgets after 5-6 years. Now 7 year old tot know all the basics of ms office and many of them know how to surf net. A proper guidance can help groom kids with the help of gadgets.

I've also seen kids using iphones/android phones too but I never seen kids under 2 years old using them only kids who might be 4 years old. I think it is very bad to see them using these gadgets due to their vision. But then, iphone/android also has apps that are meant for little kids.

That kid is awesome! That's what I noticed nowadays too. A lot of kids are into gadgets and I even envy them because they know more about gadgets that I do. They are very familiar with games and other applications which I have no idea of. Hahaha! Sometimes I feel like a loser seeing those kids. However, if I were to have a kid, I wouldn't want them to get engaged in gadgets at an early age. I don't think it's healthy for them. Radiation and all that. Maybe when they reach 10 years old that would be fine with me but as early as two years old, I think that's toxic. As for ordinary kids doing something special, one experience I couldn't forget is when I saw a five year old kid traveling alone on a ship. When I asked her who's with her she just smiled and said she's alone. She said her dad's driver will fetch her up in the port once the ship docks. She said her parents separated and her mom decided to go back to her home town so every chance she gets, she gets on a ship and inform her mom she's coming to her place and her time of arrival so someone from her mom's side can fetch her up. When I asked if her dad's okay with it she told me it's totally fine. That totally surprised me. I mean, why would parents allow their kids to travel alone? Aren't they scared that their kid/s may get kidnapped or something?

That's too scary. How can anybody leave his 5 year kid alone on a huge ship. I'll never allow my kid to travel for even small distance alone. Of course we can't give them their personal gadgets. If they are on gadgets, parents always are in the vicinity.

Hi friend, now a days kids are very much interested in modern gadgets. But it is not a good thing, most of the kids getting addicted with this things and spend their time with them. I too have kids, but i never allow them to access cell phone or computers, they are in KG classes and this modern equipment are unnecessary for this little kids.

Kids are amazing these days. Knowing about gadgets is their birthright. In our days, computer was a hard subject in 2nd or 3rd class but now kids are way ahead than their syllabus of computers. Handling ms office is just like a walk in the park for them. And the best thing is that now 7 year kid is able to clear his doubts just by looking on the net rather than asking from teachers. Sometimes they even test teachers with their ever increasing knowledge due to these gadgets and teacher have to be on their toes to pass their test. lols

My two year old does this. He's playing kiddie games. He doesn't know how to go from videos to games, etc. But he knows how to handle the phone and not touch the screen so that it messes up what he's doing. It is funny to watch him. Not so funny when he tries to do something on the phone and gets aggravated when it doesn't work. At that point, it's time to take it away from him. I was having trouble printing on my wireless printer from the pc downstairs. So I just would always print from the computer upstairs. One night I heard the printer making all kinds of noises and I was nowhere near the pc. Then my son comes running upstairs to collect his papers. He had gotten the printer downstairs to print on the printer upstairs, when I couldn't even figure it out. Now all the younger kids know how to do it, except the two-year old. These kids are learning technology early. Now, only if they could learn to read and write so well.

Reading and writing take some time but they are able to understand symbol easily and that can help them to operate gadgets.

Wow, that is so cool that a little kid that young can do all that without the help of their parents. I have never seen anything like that in person. Instead I normally see kid's parents taking them to the app to go play games or watch a youtube video. They are starting out so young now.

isn't it very iphone's screen very small? I think that's straining to the eyes. After playing from the iphone I usually feel crossed eyes and have a hard time focusing my eyes when i look afar. anyway, I usually discourage the use of iphone, ipod and ipad to children, it may take them away from the "usual" play world. Although I admit that there are lots of good applications that the kids could use for learning. Maybe, I can say, the parents should allow children to use these technologies as long as they have limitations. Still actual playing is important.

Yeah, kids these days are gadget freaks. I even see in the news where grade school students having iphones and android phones brought at school. It's not their fault, the parents gave it to them even teach them how to use it. I remember my neice, we teach her the basic on how to open and shutdown the laptop and play games there and we're amazed how a 3 year old to easily understand about it. She even teach my mom on how to open her fb and shutdown the laptop!
