How does MyLot work?

Hi there! I'm new to this site and from browsing the faqs and discussion board, I understand that a small amount of money will be paid for participation and comments. I am a little confused about how this works though.. seeing that I have made 4 comments (very little, yes) and still see a $0.00.
I am sincere about joining this site for interest and posting. But I'm just a little confused about how it works. Someone care to explain?
Note that I understand a small amount is given... few cents or so. But when did you start seeing results?

you have to make sure your comments are at least a few lines long and make some sort of point.Just saying yes i agree wont get you any funds.
You have to show that you have read the original question and answered it to the best of your ability with as many words as you can possibly make.
Then you will have a chance of making some money - you also make some by doing searches - I hope I helped , if not i just made 1penny

I hope that you are not thinking that myLot pays a set ampount for each post because that is not the case at all. We earn for our total quality participation in each 24 hour period and NOT for each post. MyLot is not a paid-to-post site. We earn for discussing.
We are not told anywhere that there is a maximum or minimum number of lines, words, dots or anything else either.

You haven't seen any earnings yet because your earnings are calculated according to the quality of your participation over 24 hours - midnight to midnight by MyLot time - and posted the following day.
Look at the 'MyLot time' shown at the bottom of the page. Depending on where you are in the United States (or the world) your time may be different.

Actually mylot is not any earning site. Mylot is unable to pay for your living. At best mylot will reward you as par your quality participation. Just take mylotting as your hobby where you will pass a quality time as well. We can use only our spare time in mylotting.

It only takes a day to see that results of what you have done. But try to enjoy your time here on myLot learning new things & having discussions with people who've had real life experiences.

Hello Timekiller, welcome to mylot. Well there are at least 4-5 topics everyday in mylot where people ask how to work on mylot. I think you need a little survey to be done in the interest section under My lot topic. Go in your interests check Mylot there and read many discussion topics which we all have answered so well you will get all answers to your every question. Happy Mylotting
