Life in the Twilight Zone?????

This morning was cold and I wanted a cup of cocoa...but not any cocoa, my favorite dark chocolate cocoa. I knew I was out, and I keep forgetting to buy some more when I go to Wal Mart... So I plugged in the hot pot and grumbled about my leaky memory...Then I looked in the cupboard for my caramel vanilla tea and about jumped out of my skin!!! There in the cupboard, like someone had just come in and set it in the cupboard for me to see, was a new box of my favorite cocoa!!! I had opened that cupboard a few minutes earlier to get out my cereal and again when I put the box back...THERE WAS NOCOCOA SITTING ANYWHERE IN THE CUPBOARD!!! I keep a close inventory of what I have in food stuffs and make sure that I have plenty of what I need, like cereal, soup, tea, and cocoa. Of course I also keep a close watch on the staples like flour, sugar, and yeast for when Bill comes down for dinner..I make fresh home made yeast rolls for him for dinner. Needless to say I was a bit rattled, especially after I asked Bill if he managed to sneak in and slip a box of cocoa in the cupboard. If anyone else had tried the dogs would have barked their brains out and alerted me to a stranger in the house....especially C.D., that little guy doesn't know how to shut up! Of course Bill hadn't been sneaky...he usually sneaks it in at the store and slips it in my bag. I know I didn't buy it because it was on my list for the past few trips to town and I usually have a cup either in the morning or the evening. I guess my Mom's spirit delivered it. Then there's my purse, I keep having extra cash show up in it, and I don't leave my purse out where someone could donate to the cause. And with motor mouth C.D. barking at anything that comes through the door that isn't Bill, it would be hard for anyone to sneak in to leave "gifts"! Twilight zone anyone? Have you had things like that happen to you???

You're right! She's a pretty great one at that. Not only did I find the cocoa, but there was an extra $20 in my purse...now that's a Fairy Godmother!!!! Maybe she can fix my leaky roof? I just discovered another leak. Hopefully our local low income assistance group will help me with the labor to get it fixed. Sigh, it seems like the repairs all start piling up at once...roof, plumbing, patio flooring... Hey Fairy Godmother.....
