Approve myLot friends.. What now?

I do not know what I did wrong. I had 23 friends on my myLot list. Then I clicked on 'friends' and it showed that I still had to 'approve' a long list of friends. that made me happy, but when I started clicking on 'approve', my number of friends (23) became less!! myLotters, I do not want to loose any of you!

That number (23) were potential friends and did not become friends until youstarted accepting them. Once they are accepted they no longer appear in that number but will appear in your total number of friends.
This topic sounds like a problem for that maths class:
Q: if I have 33 friends and then add all of those that are pending (23), how many will then be the total number of my friends?
A: 60!

Yeah, mysdianait, you make this question very clear. I am totally agree with you on this. I believe Dee777 understands it now. By the way, the maths problem you use is very interesting, I like this kind of way of answering this discussion.

See, so we all learn. haha!
I have now successfully 'approved' all my friends. There are no number in brackets next to 'friends' in the toolbar anymore... which reminds me that I should see if I can make more friends!! Enjoy a happy day, hey!

I know what you are talking about. Right now beside the tab that says friends on here, I have the number four. That number is actually representative of the number of people who have requested to be my friend on here that I have not yet approved as being my friends. Now once I go into the tab and decide to either accept or reject those friend requests, that number is going to move down from four, but the actual number of already approved friends that I have on the site is going to be something that goes up.

For a newbie, that is okay to be asking from old members on certain things here at the site. I also had been "lost" one time. Good thing there are a lot of helpful members here like Ms D and FTL....our Mylot guides!
