Don't tell me you are the 'butter won't melt in my mouth' kind. We all have our weaknesses, capable of hurting. But here I feel safe in the arms of myLot. We are all protected from likely hurts. Catch me if you can!

FB is a connect between friends and family. You have to bear them despite sarcasm and things like that. But here if you find such an attitude you can ignore them forever. There is plenty of fish in the myLot ocean to pick and choose

Of course we are all capable of hurting others, we are human. Some people just try harder than others not to hurt people... Yes MyLot is our safety net and our comfort. I would be lost without being here!

Those few hours that I spend here do relax me specially with the choices we have to come here whenever we want. The most interesting thing is that we do not have to give our answers then and there like in the real world.

One of the nice things about Mylot is that it does tend to reduce the amount of melted butter...LOL.

I feel the same way as when I am stressed when things aren't going to well, then coming in here does relieve the stressand I forget about what is happening in my life. I come in here to have fun, and I do have fun, and I also learn from others as well, and that is what mylot is all about. Mylot is a good place to get rejuvenated and it does that for me for sure. Take care, and have fun mylotting.

I feel like saying a 'Barney Stinson'-esque "Challenge: Accepted!" and laying into a line of insults about what kind of ... person you seem to be when you start a discussion like this. But like many other 'experienced' people, I see how precious each moment of time is and don't want to risk having my time 'wasted' by posting something our protective administrators will wisely 'destroy' (delete from the hallowed records of myLot, causing it to never have existed for anyone but me & -whoever happens to see it in time). So ... 'how can I catch you' without getting caught myself?

And how I wish I could accept your challenge and say 'how dare you challenge me you blinking so and so' But alas if wishes were horses beggars would ride. But instead, controlling all my rage within I would say Safe in the arms of myLot. No you can't catch me!

hi allknowing yes i think mylot is pretty safe as we have some safequards likke admins stps people who insult others on purpose and so many of the people on my friends list are really good friends to me and all others. Also if we inadvertently say something which is too strong or is rude the person hurt can private message the other person and they can work out whatever problem that they had with each other.Ik now I have a tendency to come on harsher than I wanted so am really trying to curb that tendency.

For newbies it is a bit difficult until they find their bearings. I took time to understand this place and almost gave up a couple of times not knowing if I can take charge. But finally I did.

Not quite sure what you are getting at here, ak, but I am intrigued. *waits for other responses* love butter, by the way- that's why I don't keep bread around the house, because I've heard it said that bread is just a vehicle for the BUTTER!!

'Butter won't melt in my mouth' is a phrase used when one is sweet and does not hurt any one. Don't ask me where the phrase came from, though. In myLot we are safe. If anyone tries to hurt, promptly Papa Admin will be there to take care of that!

Do you like collecting "one liners" or what do you call that kind of figure of speech again? I have a short list that I write in a notebook and I will add it.
@allknowing (130064)

I don't collect them per se but I like using them in my vocabulary. They add colour. don't they? This phrase is used both in the context of those who pretend to be good and those who are real cool, in life.

All humans are capable of feeling hurt and happiness. If we don't feel those, then we are not human. If I may ask what exactly do you mean when you said you felt safe in the arms of mylot?I was kinda a bit confused about the statement.I think no one will ever hurt a person if he or she will sign up in any given website right?Unless you did something bad to the person and all..

I am more concerned about the real world. I just had a rather unpleasant talk with someone in my real world. I could not complain to anyone nor could I delete this person and stay away like we do in myLot!

Not for just being rude but if that person destroys my peace I would certainly keep that person away. Trying to change someone? Sorry. I don't think it works.

But can your husband protect you from every single hurt that may be inflicted on you. I don't suppose you would want to disturb your busy husband wanting him to get involved each time someone hurts you!

I thought I am the first responder? Ohh, should I blame ot again on my internet connection?! I feel my thoughts are safe here in myLot. I like the way that my thoughts are being responded and we do get different opinions which we don't get much in the real world.

So true. My real world is shrinking. Soon I will be left with none to have the kind of interaction we have here. We are all safe here. Users need to be careful what they say to each other. But in the real world we are exposed with none to protect us!

I just phrase like that one. I live apart my real friends but even if they are here, it is still hard to open up. I am a good listener and adviser to my friends bu sharing my own is hard. I don't want to be judged too by them. I feel safe here. I keep on saying that I consider the whole MyLot community my friend.

Yay! I've never heard that saying before either. I am not one of those types, I know I can hurt people I tend to try not to though at least. Its just one of the great things about myLot, that, we are completely safe from trolls and jerks! Its the only forum on the web I think that is as clean and safe as it is.

After roaming around the Net I have finally settled down smug and safe here echo... In a way it teaches us to keep our tempers in check too! I picked this phrase up when I was in school. There was a nun who was so good that whenever anyone spoke about her they used this phrase. But it can also be used to describe someone who pretends to be that!

You're absolutely right with that one. Unless you want to get yourself in trouble here and your discussions deleted, your earnings reduced then you will do well to keep your temper in check here. Its a learning lesson but it has helped me a time or two to remember keeping myself in check in way of anger and also what I am writing, it has to be quality of course! Yes I can see that, just as some other similar phrases can be used in the same way. I've just not heard this one before.

Deleting posts that violate rules is no doubt a good thing specially when users try to insult, inflame and hurt each other. We get this type of experience in our real life some times. Coming here we have a nice platform to interact which does not allow this type of behaviour

I felt that way too and so decided to put up this topic. Atleast for the number of hours that we spend here we can do it in a relaxed way not worrying about any one saying or doing anything that will hurt us.
