I can't get enough sleep

January 22, 2013 10:03pm CST
I can't remember the last time I spent 8 hours sleeping. I sleep at around 12 in the midnight or worst 2 in the morning. My daughter spent her time watching some cartoons and it keeps me awake. The fact that I have to turn off the lap top for her, she's like almost three years old. Since then, I can't sleep at the right time. And I bet it's causing me a lot of stress in the morning. Throughout the day I was stressed, really. Now every night I have t spent watching cartoons with my daughter. How can I get to sleep?

Don't let your daughter to sleep the whole day or early in the evening. This will strengthen their mind and not fall asleep during the night. Be sure to play with her or give her a busy day so at midnight she will fall asleep and you too.

On weekends I can actually convince her to sleep earlier, and we plat all day long. But since I'm still a student, I can't really do anything about it.:) thanks for your response:)

You should not encourage your kid to be watching cartoons that late every night. It will help you have a very restful sleep if you will let your kid sleep early too.

She usually sleep at 6 in the evening and woke up at about 8. That's why she's up that late. I'm really trying to put her to sleep earlier, so that she can wake up earlier too.

Can you have her not watch those cartoons? I have heard that watching TV before you go to sleep causes sleep problems. ALso going on the internet - something about the bright LCD lights that causes sleeplessness. I think they say - don't be on a computer or watch a TV for at least an hour before you go to sleep. Perhaps you both could try reading. THat usually puts me to sleep.

It is really sad to know about it.My father too have the same problem.Sometimes he sleeps well, sometimes he does not sleep whole night. So to have a sleep he takes medicine. But despite being all these he can't be able to sleep properly. He gets up late in the morning, because sometimes he sleeps in the morning time, say 4-5 AM. I have once read a book or article.According to that a man can properly sleep if he meditates and do exercises. So if you want to have a proper sleep, you should do some physical exercises and mental exercises too.Mental exercises contain meditation.

I really want to try that. I read a lot from magazines that exercise can help promote sound sleep. Thanks for the tip.:)
