India seems to be with more confidence against England side in 4th ODI at Mohali after 2 consecutive wins in 2nd and 3rd ODIs emphatically. On the other side England side seems to be less spirited than from the form that they played in Test Cricket matches. However partnership between Cook and Bell is important factor to both sides. India has advantage of match winning all rounders like YuvRaj and Jadeja, who can bring turning points in the match in favour of India. Can India win and keep number 1 position in ODI ranking?

So India won at Mohali and with that wins the series also with one match to go. Now they have taken unbeatable 3-1 lead in the 5 match series. England showed much better performance from previous two games. Cook , Pieterson and Root played some fantastic cricket to put a good competitive total of 257/7 in their 50 overs. Again there were some poor umpiring decisions as Cook was unlucky to be given out. And in the Indian innings Gambhir was unlucky to be given caught behind as the replay showed there was no edge from the bat while to the keeper. But Rohit Sharma played a gem of the innings on his comeback in the side and he along with Suresh Raina changed the whole game with some quick partnership but again Rohit fell due to another umpiring blunder. After the departure of Rohit, Raina takes the control of the innings and helped the team to win the match by 5 wickets.

Yes, Suresh Raina too played superbly, and has been great for India in this series.

India won the 4th ODI, but lost last one at Dharamshala, may be they should have made it 3-2. Still, a morale booster before Australia series.

India went on to win the match pretty easily today. Raina and finally Rohit came good and helped India win the match pretty easily. I just hope that this does not mean that Rohit will remain in the team for the next 10 matches without performing. Cheers! Ram

Yes, he did not even score 10 runs in last 5 innings, and then Rohit Sharma went on to score 83 runs. Its a bit puzzling at tmes for selectors. Still, if he is so inconsistent in future, he might have to pave the way for some one else performing better, scoring more runs and more consistent.

Yes ram although Rohit performed brilliantly in this match and actually helped India to won but this should not make him permanent in the team whether he performs or not and I know this actually happened earlier. I think he is back in team because of MS Dhoni because the captain believes too much in this cricketer and is always in favour of him. He got too many chances in the past but failed to capitalise on them. He just performs once in a blue moon. Even in the post match presentation, Dhoni said he seriously wants Rohit to score big because in his eyes he is a brilliant player and he wants him to be in the team. Lets see how long this love affair between them continues.

I think India should take this match as a do-die match and try to win it. Yes, India number one ranking is at stake. They have to play out of their skin to win it as conditions may favor English team.

If England win this match they will take number 1 position in ODI ranking. So both team may fight at their best in this match. I think that due to cold conditions 2nd batting side may find batting difficult.

Well, it is cold, but not as bitter cold as earlier. Still, batting later would be a bit tough. Hopefully, next time they keep matches in Northern parts of India February onwards, and not in late December and January.

In the 4th ODI India is at a very poor state. If India is going like the same surely India will loose the game and this might be the one of the greatest loose of the ODI for the team India. India have to do something which could get more runs on the batting score card.

Hi friend it all depends on the player, how well will they play against their opponent. Also we cant expect to say in advance that who win or lose and rank 1st position on ODI. I think India will do it because there are many good players who can make it for the country. There are also good and excellent players from England too,so time will tell us whether India achieve the 1st position or England. What do you say, friend.

In the case of ODI ranking this match is important to both team. India has to win to retain 1st ranking and if England wins they will get 1st ranking in ODIs. So match will be tight. Cold condition at Mohali wouldn't be good for the side batting second.

After 42.5 overs, England are 175-4. Well done so far Indian bowlers. So far India's chances are good, if the batsman play well. Yet, one can never underestimate English bowlers.
