Four payments left

Woohoo! Only four more payments and a business loan will be paid off. Only about $600 owed. That means another $150 a month we get to keep. Doesn't seem like much however, we don't pay rent any more. We now own the business and the building. That was $1000 a month. Another $25 a month since we don't use dial up for internet anymore. We'd already made the change. Just didn't have time to cancel it till now with all that was going on. So, that's $1175 a month we save. It means we can start putting money back so we can one day retire. That is a big relief. It also means we can pay a little extra on our house payment each month. Yes, I realize that when you own a business you sometimes have slow times. But any improvement on funds is great. It will help get us through the slow times. And maybe, since we now also have an extra vehicle, we can sell one and put that money away towards a small vacation. We haven't had one in years. We've had time off for holidays, yes, but we haven't been able to travel. For us, vacation has been camping now and again, locally. And that's kept us sane. I feel like I can breathe. We've cut back here and there over the years. Instead of paying someone else for shop statements and estimate forms I do my own. The news paper locally has cut back to 6 days a week and most of the news is online instead so we stopped taking it. The little things add up too. I won't be going out and going nuts. There are a few things that we want to do to enhance our business. Nothing major and we can do most of it ourselves. No rush either. Things like painting the bathrooms. Things we can be proud of for doing ourselves. Ahhhh, feels good.
