I just found out, there were so many mobile service providers I never heard of

I never notice that besides the 4 big mobile service carriers, which I think they rip us off most of the time, with bad service quality, there were Metro PCS, boost mobile, cricket, and straight talk I see on various store locations. Besides them, I found out about some plans that I never heard of from these online mobile service, they either provide their services through AT&T network, or T - mobile network. If you have a prepaid phone, or an unlock phone, all you have to do just purchase their SIM cards, and participate one of their plans. Like Ultra mobile; black wireless; and H2O wireless, they all provide unlimited talk, text and limited data plan. Plus, you can make international calls through their network with $20 credit. Some other service providers like net 10, consumer cellular; and red pocket mobile provide cheap plan for people who don't use their cell phone that much. So, different demands have different plans. Check them out.

I am with T-Mobile and slightly annoyed by how expensive it is. I do think they rip us off. I've heard of a few smaller, cellular companies that offer better deals. My dad just got one that gives him unlimited minutes for around $35 a month. My mom has the same plan but with T-Mobile and it almost costs her twice as much. Even Virgin Mobile, which used to be a primarily pre-paid company, now has unlimited talk/data/text plans for around $50 with no contract. I pay almost $100. It's definitely a rip off, but these companies knew they could do it because there weren't so many competitors and because we are "locked" into a contract. Now that more companies are starting to surface with lower prices maybe they will all drop theirs as well. You would think that the national companies would have cheaper plans than these smaller, less-funded ones. Hmmph.

Nice tips, it is really amazing to experienced all these things now, Marketing people offered different line of services for their customers and all are well planned to suit their marketing objectives. But for us customers I think what we grab is the best option that will be more convenient and beneficial to us for me I will try your suggestion.

That's good to have so many mobile service provides in your side. Since the competition can offers the nice price and service for the customers. Here there are only three mobile service provides and there are no more choices for the customers.

In my own country, I keep on discovering new and new cell phone providers, even though there is 3 which reign over the market. Some of the new ones seem nice, but I'm always afraid what if they can't keep up with the big ones and go bankrupt... then I would lose my money...
