You do not have to let others know that you know!

There are lots of people in school who think they are the brightest people in the universe. When they discuss or recite in class, they say everything they want to say though it's not related to the topic and they do not care whether they answer the question being raised by the professor or not because all they care about is to display what's inside their brain. They always want to impress and intimidate their classmates. They always want others to feel inferior and dumb. Others would even make the professor feel like an idiot. In my point of view, if you are really a smart person, you do not have to brag that you are because others would know that you are intelligent by themselves. They will appreciate you more if you remain humble and down-to-earth. A great personality is better than a great mind.

I agree with you. Some persons are in this sort and they are the great example for the proverb empty vessels make more noises. A real intelligent person will remain calm and he will use his knowledge whenver necessary. I fully agree with your last sentence.

It's like they thought they're the only smart ones. But some people like them are not smart at all, they're just showing it off.

your acts will define what you know and your grade will tell better, in life it doesn't matter to tell a lot but show what really matter.

I like the last sentence of your post a lot. "A great personality is better than a great mind" True, I try to live my life this way. I was a kid whom you have mentioned in this discussion, who was smart enough and who always had answers to everything that the teacher had to ask for. But the thing is, I never really wanted to make others feel bad about it . Being a kid, when my teacher tell me that one magical word "GOOD" was making my day and used to inspire me to learn more. I never wanted to brag about anything, it was just that , i knew the answers and I had that appreciation coming for my efforts, I would feel really good. I never really had problems with my friends regarding this and my classmates also were good enough to not find anything wrong about it as you have mentioned in your post.

Being down to earth and vocal in class are fine. I am one of the brightest in my class before, but I still have the humility from within. I don't think being in a class should be timid just to be conscious of what others will say. Besides, there is no right or wrong in conveying opinions. That's my notion about this topic. The reality when your ready to face the world after graduating from prestige universities. Have a great day!
