There have been quite a lot of changes i want to take place in my life, more into the financial aspects as well as my outlook in life. i am so praying i could achieve it this year as this is like my very goal of all. Last night, i attended this financial seminar that helped me think through a lot of things, i met someone there that i really admire a lot. He told me how he think of things in terms of money back, as someone married with two kids, he find it a lot beneficial to think of things that way. at the age of 28 like me, he was able to set up his finances quite well.. and wow i did learn a lot from him! i told hubby this and hopefully we will be able to sort things out financially too and be up towards progress!

Make a list with your wishes/wants/goals. Write down what is priority first, what would make you feel better/more safe (perhaps some savings). If you want saving money start with it at once, also if you have to pay off other bills. Have a close look at the end of each week at your list. So you stay aware of your wishes/goals. Talk them over with your husband or others. Be aware that if you really want something you have to make sacrifices. Most important is you first take care of yourself. If you have plenty you can take care of someone else or give away your money.

so true, we have been listing down things we need first..then things we don't need and bills and things we must prioritize. Currently we need to build up more savings and more investments, long term actually.

It is good to sit down with a financial advisor and plan for your future. I hope it really does benefit you. We always need to be thinking and planning for the future. Wishing you all the best.

Sounds like a good plan you have in there. Keep it up and good luck in your planned endeavor! :) Nothing is constant in this world except change. So if things around us keep changing, it's better if we learn how to dance with the rhythm and get along with it. I still believe that money is not everything but being financially stable helps a lot in terms of understanding where you're going in life and planning the things that you intend to do.

I know that money isn't everything but having three kids being financially stable is a must for us.

We all wish to have a better life. And this can only be achieved if we start doing something instead of just wising it to come. I pray that you would be able to attain your goal. Good luck!

Hope you will soon be able to have concrete plans as only after this is done that you can breathe a sigh of relief. There are so many ideas but they should suit you with the least possible risk.

good day jazel_juan, with prayers and petition, for sure God will grant all that you have wished for. honestly, i admire you, being at the age of 28, you able to settle things in the right manner. though i have also done that but i guess my efforts are not enough when i was in that age. but, being at this age where am i now, i believed God is with me to reach for those things that i haven't got yet. still, i do pray unceasingly to Him, as i believed everything is possible with God.

Well, I'm glad you found someone who was able to listen to giving you the best economic advice. You know, in Italy (my country), unfortunately it gets worse every day! Last night on the news they said that close over 1000 companies per day, unemployment is at historic highs, and I'm still without a job at the age of almost 38 years! The only thing left to do: pray and hope for a change in the system. Nothing else can be done against this crisis that has struck like an avalanche on us!

I guess being in a third world country makes it easier for us to cope with recession and things like that, we Filipinos have been known on coping easily.. we have a lot of "little" work here that even tho underpaid somehow still brings food and money in the family..

I'm glad that you learned a lot from him. I'm currently taking a program that will help me go to college and I have learned a lot as well. One main thing that I'm learning is to save. Saving will do a lot for our family. And once we have a good habit of saving it will be something we enjoy seeing, and watching our finances improve. For the longest time I never appreciated saving because I didn't have much to save. But now I see that there can be a big difference especially since I have adjusted my attitude. I do not want to depend on or need others help when we are having a financially hard time. I want to be self reliant and in order to do that we have to get our savings going.

Yup i am also aiming that my friend, i don't want to always be borrowing money from my parents or from other people..or go into loans which is hard to deal with sometimes. So i want us to be able to pay and buy what we can with our own money.

As far as finance is concerned, i guess everyone is in 99 and search for a penny to reach 100 mark. In most cases, our requirements has compelled us to earn more and these requirements are not necessarily required for our smooth living. No doubt, with a better money management, many odd situation can be solved. But the final thing is that money can do many a thing but not everything. Live wisely.

If you want to go the things smoothly then sometimes you have to sacrifice many things in your life. You will get more happy when you start sacrify your life. You can adopt a child, helping to old people, help to blind people etc save your life to run smoothly. I dont believe when you pray god and go all the things smoothly is wrong decision.

I dont believe when you pray god and go all the things smoothly is wrong decision. i am sorry but i beg to disagree with this one, i am someone who have a big Faith with my God and every decision i come up with, i pray it first and somehow lately things are going to how i want things to go and me, praying and faith is a big factor in my life. I always accompany prayer with the things i do. I am not someone who just sits and pray and wait for money to come, maybe that is how you thought it was.
