…the aftermath of a fiesta

I’m awfully tired and I’m trying to get back to work and normal routine after celebrating the town fiesta. Of course I had to ask permission from my boss to help with the cleaning, cooking, washing and entertaining guests. Oh, and watching over drunks. No wonder some people feel that they should be absent for the town fiesta. Many hands are needed just to make it a successful one. Thank God fiestas nowadays are just a one-day affair. I shudder to think that in Rizal’s time, it was three days of constant eating, cooking and entertaining. Tons of food and drinks, to say the least. At least, no need to do some serious cook for at least a week.
