I am trying to make a indication add on kit to a pressure switch 1. I have made up a bright red LED for 24VDC circuit, This is easy i plan to put in with the switch so the customer who wires is up Has thisLED allready fitted with resistor and crimped lugs to fit to SPDT micro switch to indicate circuit called for. Where I am having difficulty is I also have customers who use this on 230VA C , I could make up one for each voltage.... however I woud perfer, if I can get it to work. I would like to just add one more resistor in the kit for 230 Volt circuit, and all needed is for the second resistor to be fitted parrall across the 24VDC LED.. The reason I feel it can work is that with parallel resistance circuits Its the inverse value some what between the two if individually connected. I hope this does not sound like I'm a real fruit cake, and tell me to use two separate LED 's and resistors.. The customer will always put the wrong one in and the left over one will probally try to hook up where they should not. I am planning to have KISS instructions.. keep it simple stupid .... IE: if connecting to 24VDC use only LED with Lugs connect across terminals 1 and 3, do not use the separate resistor. If the circuit is 230VAC connect at discribed above and also connect the spare resistor across terminals 1 and 3 also Well I have the parts (almost) I know what I want to do I know I dont Know how to work out the other resistor ( if it can be done) ANY TAKERS I REALLY COULD USE THE HELP THANK YOU
