I Just KNEW The Blu-Tack Would Come In Handy One Day

We've had our pack of Blu-Tack for so long I can't even remember what it was bought for originally. Imagine my delight when I could use some blobs of it to keep not one, but two mouse-mats in place on my glass desk. Reeds finest (NOT). The mats themselves WEREN'T non-slip at all. On wood, yes, but not glass so I sat here thinking of a solution to my dilemma. Aah, yes, the blu-tack. So, now I can move the mouse up and down and from side to side safe in the knowledge that the mats will stay put. Oh, and the lamp is on the right now, just above them. At least the mats are non-glare so that's something. £8 each, apparently so it's a good job John got them for er...nothing!

Someone else that has problems with a mousemat that seems to have a life of it's own, what I do with my laptop is that the corner of the laptop is on top of the mat to stop it moving around, with my Mac, I have my keyboard ontop on the mat to stop it moving, but blu-tack is a good measure. I wish Mylot would sort out the notifications, I still ain't getting any, I feel isolated :0(

You're not alone. Many of us aren't getting them either.

My inbox is extremely empty without MyLot notifications. Perhaps it's a ploy to stop us reaching payout. Surely not.

Isn't it great when you just happen to have something useful on hand when needed? My boyfriend doesn't understand why I hold on to certain things... until the situation arises where that is exactly the thing that we happened to need to remedy the situation.

I can't find my allen key in order to dismantle my old computer desk though. It's very annoying as I know I had to put the thing together here when I brought it from Blackpool. I'm currently wracking me brains trying to think of where it could be.

Why do you need two mouse pads? I don't use any.

I have a wireless optical mouse and he won't work on glass. I've tried but not a lot happens. This is why John brought home one mouse mat initially. Unfortunately, they're not the biggest in the world so he brought home another one so I have one placed above the other. I don't really know why I've needed two but it just works out better that way..for me at any rate.

Yes, I find Blu-Tack so useful for a lot of things. I tend to use them to hold pictures on the wall straight. Some pictures no matter how I move them around on the picture hook always seem to slip after I have done it and look slightly crooked on the wall. It seems to be only me that notices it, but I just put a small blob of Blu-Tack to the bottom edge of the frame and voila! it stays stays straight. _Derek
