Snow is falling softly here

We were to get some snow today and it has finally started. Falling softly though and so far it is sticking. I don't want it to be too much. I am cold enough this week. So cold i tried to sleep in gloves and a hat last night but figured the hat would just fall off. No need for the gloves really either. I waited for like 15 minutes outside in cold cold weather to get into a garage sale today that wasn't worth it and that is the last time I will do that in the winter. We didn't have to wait at any of those all summer long and when winter comes along they make us wait outside??? How crazy is that.

it's funny to think that I really would love to experience snow while those who live in countries which have winter season want to get rid of it. here in our country, it seems like everyday is summer time that's why most of us dream of snow.

I do wish I could send those who want it to them instead, we get so sick of it here where it snows alot but that is the opposite of what you have experienced so it is usually normal to think that way. After you've had it for years and see the damage it can do, etc then you don't feel like you need it at all in your life, like me. :-) LOL

I've always wondered how it feels like to be under falling snow. I believe it has been a part of my childhood dream to experience it someday and I'm pretty sure that a lot of other kids here and even grown-ups have the same. I highly doubt though that we could stand the cold it brings. I'm a sucker for garage sales and I would have definitely done something similar. I guess there are just times the wait isn't worth it.

The snow came tonight after the garage sale was well over with, the cold was just a hint of it coming I guess. I don't think we'll get much but I don't want any of it. I'm too old for this stuff anymore.

Oh my gosh, I never went to a garage sale in the snow..brrrrrrr! That just doesn't sound like too much fun unless you are really all prepared for that. I have paid heat so it's warm in my apartment, but I hate the place, haha! Can't wait to move outta here! Then maybe I'll be wanting some gloves to wear and maybe some earmuffs to bed.

for now it's only fall here so no snow yet. It's rare here for people to have rumage sales that late here. Most people do have them as long as the weather is still decent. As many people here when they are held it's in their yard or garage only. Sometimes estate sales you can go into the house to look at things for sale

I so wish it would snow here, just for a one day! My kids are missing out on so much fun I had when I was younger because they barely ever get to play in it... We were supposed to get snow today, my kids were so excited when they heard it on the news and all we have are icy roads and NO snow! Now they are SO disappointed and I feel bad for them. All they want is to play in the snow...And we never get any! =( I would never attempt going to a garage sale in the snow though, lol, way too cold for that! My luck I would get sick.

Wish we could send some your way so your kids could play in it. I now how it must be as they watch on TV how the snow is everywhere else but there. It wasn't snowing yet when we went, just cooold. I didn't wanna wait, I know I was wrapped up fairly well but not the one person I was with.

Yes, I think that's why I dislike it too. Plus the fact it can freeze and make people fall, cause accidents, etc. It s funny how we never think of those things as kids but when we are adults it worries us.

I have experienced severe cold when I was holidaying abroad but never had the occasion to have snow flakes falling on my head which I hope one day it will happen. I carried clothes such as thermowear, gloves, a balaclava, and ofcourse an overcoat. They came in useful specially in Canada where we had gone to see the Falls in the night. I too hate cold but when I was in Switzerland I particularly remember that hotel where they had provided us with thick mattresses and blanket to cover ourselves while sleeping. Our room was overlooking the Alps!
