Good day Fellow Mylotters, I really admire those people who can still concentrate on their work despite of too much noise around. I wonder where they get their focus despite of too much noise, still they can be able to finish what they are doing. Not only that, they can still do it on time and still with a good quality. Thinking maybe they have some special talents. I wonder if I can also do it and never be affected when same noise arise. I guess, I should be practicing it as early as now so I can still do my online task even my surrounding is extremely noisy.

Well I have a strange problem. I can concentrate in quietness as well as in very loud noise but not LOW noise. Meaning if I have to struggle to hear something it becomes irritating when I am concentrating on something else. The best way I see to explain it is that, with no noise my brain isn't trying to interpret any sound so I can concentrate on other stuff. In low noise my brain tries to interpret what is being said, but since the noise is low, my brain struggles to interpret it and thus tries harder thus I find it harder to concentrate on something else. In loud noise my brain finds it easy to interpret what is being said, and so I still find it easy to concentrate else where. I think I am weird.

Good day Renhard, That was a special talent. Imagine you have both, wherein you can still work at any given situation. Well, perhaps it is time for me to practice either so I can still work at any given situation.

Yes that would be wonderful. So I see you are going to try practice it. It might be really difficult at first. When I am concentration in loud noise I forget that the noise is even there. It is so hard to explain it. It feels like the noise is there but my mind isn't paying attention any more. Have you ever heard the best time to learn something is when you are very young. I think it might be a little bit harder for you. For me when I was younger I use to be top of my class, I am still top of my class but in those years my dad loved to play his loud music a few times. I wouldn't really mind because it is only a few time he played it and he worked very hard at work. I didn't stop study because of it though, I still study in the music. Then I got siblings later, more than one that is always playing and making noise. Those time it was a must that I study for school because I wanted my reputation to always be up top. So I guess it was the little things like those that help me to concentrate in the noise. The only problem I had is when my mom told my brothers and sister to shut up and be quiet and they would be there whispering and giggling. Now that was really worse to me than when they were making the loud noise. Any time they start to talk so low, I had to go outside or something to study.

I have a friend, she cannot do anything productive unless there is music through her earphones or she is watching tv. I think it is possible to make yourself used to working in noisy places. I used p have a hard time concentrating too. I started trying it. When I started doing something with the radio on,I cannot help but let the lyrics of the song occupy my mind and it didn't help me concentrate. So I started wit putting soft instrumental music, when I could handle that, I moved on to strong and lively instrumental music, and then after that, I put on concerts of people playing in an orchestra, until I can handle songs with lyrics. Now I can do my thing even if Demi lovato sings her heart out and it doesn't bother me at all. Try working the noise slowly, until you can tolerate it, you can do it, if there is a will, there is a way

You know what they say with music and studying? It doesn't go together. Yes alot of people do it and retain information but studies show that when it comes to putting those information back on paper in exam or so, the lack of music and quietness in the exam make it more difficult. It is like because you practice to do stuff in music, you reach a point where you find it absolutely difficult to do things in quietness. I know a few people who eat chocolate while studying and eat it again while in exam. It is said that the taste really bring back memories. Chocolate is one of the few things I think really help you in that regard. I was amaze but I still didn't try it. I stick to my normal studying in quietness and loud noise. I alternate between the two.

I could not concentrate if there is a loud noise around me. I remember when I was in College, we had a lot of chapters to read everyday. And so I need real peace and quiet everytime I am studying. I would tell everybody in the house to pipe down when I am inside my room coz for sure I am studying. To add to that, I also use some headphones to eliminate more sound. Even now, when there are discussion here at Mylot that I want to share my own experiences and think hard, I turn off the tv and let the kids out of the room.

I can work with distractions. I find it like a music, weird it may sound; but it works for me. If I'm at home, the place should be in silence mode. In times the neighbor is having crazy noise, the police officer will be there right away.
