i used to be pro second amendment. that is even silly to say, because both sides of the argument are pro second amendment. the more i listened to both sides is the more i realized that pro gun law people don't want to take away the second amendment. they only want to put a ban on certain types of weapons that really don't belong in the hands of the average citizen. semi automatic weapons have a purpose that more than just for hunting or self defense. they are meant for the military and law enforcement. why does a person need to have an AR-47 riffle? there are other kinds of weapons where you can defend yourself just find if need be. the government is not trying to take away all guns from citizens. it's just trying to re-do the gun laws. it just calls for a ban a semi automatic weapons. it also just want to have people more better mentally evaluated before allowing them to have a weapon. what do you say? should i stay on the other side of the fence? is the government trying to just take away the second amendment?

Individual citizens have a right to be safe and secure. Individual citizens have a right to protection and freedom.

i totally agree with this. but i am starting to think that some of the kinds of weapons that people have access to may be way to much and going beyond the call of self defense.
