why are my dogs barking?

Cutie sometimes dogs bark even if there is no one around your house. May be there is some other animal or snakes etc they bark at them for them to run away. I think it is not a good idea to go out and check out who is there. You don't really need to. Just check if all your doors are locked properly and even if the windows are locked properly. If you have that urge to check what is wrong, why don't you open some window a bit at the direction and check out? Well i agree dogs are the best for house guard, but my dog is snoring at night always, Hope you be safe.

Dogs are the best alarm for us and we all know how faithful are they. Outsiders and strangers for a moment think before entering or knocking your door or gate. They are good for house security. I also keep dogs at home. But unfortunately, i dont have one at moment. But looking for one.

I will try to check by looking at the window (good thing we have sliding window) or try to listen if there's some unusual sound around. but I won't go outside, that would be too risky if there's bad elements roaming in there. I am also thankful that we have dogs outside to warn and guard us at night.

That is scary though. When the dog keep on barking, it means that the stranger might not leave at. He/she probably still hiding in the bushes, or somewhere near your house. I am not sure why your dog bark, probably it saw other animals, or there is a person nearby. When your dog is non - stop barking, you might consider call a police come near your area to do a patrol.

They're probably trying to warn you that there is a stranger in the vicinity. I've heard people saying when dogs howl mean they see spirits. Yes, they can sense them.

It is 10 o'clock at night. Are you usually up this late? Do you sleep through the dogs barking usually? It could be something, it could be nothing. It could be the wind howling. I think if it was really someone they would most likely growl, well if they aren't used to strangers that is. I understand that feeling though, stay safe and it's much better to stay in the room and be aware of all the noises around you. If you hear anything that sounds like another in the house then call out, ask if it's a relative. If no answer, then call the police. But it's most likely nothing. It always has been when I've heard noises here.

Hi Cutie. Well it depends on where you live if you live in the city I wouldn't open my door after 10pm without letting someone know that I had thought there was something out there. But where I live we don't have much to worry about strangers walking up on us we have a gate so they would have to climb the gate to get inside our yard. But if you let fear rule your life you won't get anywhere. So if the dogs bark out here it usually means there is something strange in the yard so we go out to make sure it isn't something that can hurt the dogs. Dogs are a good thing to have around they let you know when something isn't right in their space. My dogs are strange they will see even a piece of paper in the yard and will start to bark at it to let us know something is strange in the yard.....LOL I don't care if I am in my night clothes if I hear my dogs bark I am going to see what they are worried about.
