Signed up Appenscribe last night. Anyone worked for them?

I finally downloaded the Mozilla Firefox browser and Flash so I could hopefully take on work with an Australian transcriptin company called Appenscribe. Has anyone worked for them, have any review of their treatment of workers or how often work is available?

I applied to them too, took the test, passed the ones I can do and they said I will be emailed if there are jobs, but I never got any emails at all. Is that how you start? Let me know what you need to do, thanks!

Hi, are you an experienced transcriptionist?

Well I have seen this on my WAHM site and many have worked there and have had no issues, so you should be fine um which that was back in 2009, but I am sure that you will be okay. Just know that they come in batches and I have read that you have to finish batches before you are paid or something like that, but good luck and have fun. Thank you for sharing, because I am going to apply as well.

Thanks for the information, Lucky. I'm trying to stop myself from obsessively checking my e-mail for a message from them right now!

Interesting. Found this discussion for the same Australian transcription company: http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2501821.aspx I have done transcription but it was on oDesk.

I did see that one, but as the last first-hand account was from 2010, perhaps I should ask if there are workers now who are STILL happy with Appenscribe :). I've noticed many online companies can change character in a short time.
