I'm sitting here streaming oldies off of the internet, to my iPhone. I'm enjoying the heck out of the music. All stuff from the 50's and 60's that I know a lot about. I know all the songs, and all the hostiries. Anyway, the introduction just came on "it's 1960 again" and then the played something by Buddy Holly. How dumb do they think they are? Anyone listening to 1950's and 60's rock and roll knows that Buddy Holly died in a plane crash in 1959 along with Richie Valens and The Big Bopper. I don't think he came back from the grave to release a song in 1960, and there's no record that I know of of songs coming out after his death. I double checked with my husband who was working in radio when that all happened, and he doesn't know of any either.

It was made while he was alive, but he had not had time to release it before dying in that plane crash, so what happened is that record company he owned or worked for decided to release it and because they had to get his wife's permission and she had had a miscarriage it was not as soon as they hoped. Therefore the time span.
