Well sometimes but not all the times. I have a personality where I at times do not show any emotions at all. But I know it is possible, somebody smile with you and you cant help but smile back

its so automatic to smile back unless that person is scaring or intimidating to you.otherwise you wont help but return the smile.

What I know I can't resist though is if a girl I like smile with me, or a beautiful girl.

It has happened to me a lot of times. Well, about the smiling part, I could smile back at a stranger but that depends on my "gut" feeling that time. Coz there are people who have just seen and yet you feel that the person is fine and you feel safe. Other times, I just turn away. As with the yawing, oh yes! Very contagious indeed!

i agree,a smile from a friendly person is contagious but if they scare you then you get even more wary of that person as for the yawn anyone you see doing it will affect you.

I am always smiling at strangers. Saying hello, or good morning, or good evening. I enjoy smiling and making the other person smile back. Knowing in that moment, I was able to put a smile on someone's face. A simple smile is a powerful gesture

well said, a smile is also a nice way to spread a good cheer around plus it eases tension and puts people at ease.

I would definitely smile back when someone smiles at me. Because it is only considered polite that way and it is the right thing to be done. So in a way smile is contagious but not to everyone because I have seen some people who do not smile at you for some reasons. By the way, I did notice that yawning is quite contagious too because when one person yawns, someone around the person would do the same too. There must be scientific explanation to this.

I think the fact that most people smile back is just manners really. Though it is a really unexplainable but good feeling to smile I must admit. And yes, yawning is VERY contagious, I always yawn when someone else in the room does, never got why that happens lol.

i agree at times a smile is politeness too, though some are just too sweet to be ignored.as for the yawn that i would love to really understand.
