I am not kidding and it is driving me nuts! Last night as I was going through the photo's I saved on my computer to see what I wanted to save and which ones to delete. While I was doing that I get a virus saying the US goverment has blocked my computer because of pornagraphy! It says I have 48 hours to buy a mony pack card or whatever, like at Walmart and send them $300.00 to fix the problem! I know it is a virus and I can not do anything after I log in! I am so frustrated and I do us the free Micosoft security on my computer! I do not go on any sites I know could be scam or viruses! I am really careful! I told my best friend about this and right way he yells at me! "Don't you have any anti-virus ware on your computer and you must be opening e-mails or going on sites I shouldn't be?" Thanks for making me feel better! So I am not happy and won't be making payout this month! This really bites!!!!!!!!!!!

I will try what materfish suggested and if that doesn't work,my computer is going back to the IT department at work and see what they can do!

I would suggest downloading Malwarebytes, and installing it and after you update it, boot your computer in Safe Mode and running a full scan, I always run my scans on Saturday morning when I'm awake so that way I make sure it scans my hard drive completely.

As you sat this is certainly malware. It is not always necessary to visit the wrong kind of site to inherit such a problem because many such programs do find their way onto legitimate and respected sites at times. It is unlikely that the site owners will allow the malware to remain there and would remove it quickly, but that does not help those who have already been affected. Sometimes simply turning the computer back via the system restore feature in Windows will solve such issues, but sadly it does not always work. You could try downloading a free copy of malwarebytes, which is very good in such situations.

To be on the safe side you should just reinstall the operating system example windows 7. Who knows how much damage that malware has done to your system.
