I prefer web radio to regular radio, and of the web radio stations I've tried, I like Pandora the best. Pandora offers many options, including creating a station based on the works of your favorite recording artist and similar, or you can cast a broader net and create a station centered around a certain genre, era or both. You can "like" artists and songs that turn you on, so Pandora can play more of what you enjoy. Right now, I've got stations for New Age Ambient, 60s, 70s, 80s & 90s Pop, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Norah Jones and Amanda Palmer. I can click on whichever station sets the mood I want to be in at the moment and change it at any time. And best of all, it's free and pays the artists when I play their music. So I'm supporting the arts by using Pandora and having a great time.

Well, a lot of the people I work with now are using IHeart more than pandora, and you can choose more of the type of stuff you like to listen too, and it will save it for you for the next time. I know some who will switch back and forth from time to time, but I am sure it is a matter of what each person might be looking for for sure.

Welcome, Kraus, and thanks for joining in on this conversation. I haven't heard of IHeart until you mentioned it. One of the reasons I listen to Pandora is that it's just the best I've found of those that I know about. Sometimes it's just a matter of whether or not a person knows about something. Too often, people presume everyone knows about all the things they know about. Sharing information, like you just did here with IHeart, is vital for all of us to learn new exciting things that might serve us better than what we're currently using. I'll certainly look into using IHeart now. Thanks so much!

Long time no see, subhojit. How are things? You're right. Cell phones are another great music source. Once I saw an artist use her cell phone radio app to play inspirational music for her art class while they worked. I think she had Sirius, but today's smart phones should easily catch Pandora, as well. I'm pretty sure they have a mobile app. I just don't have a smart phone yet.
