How would someone run an independent business out of a squat?

It's been bouncing around in my head, how to go about establishing a business within a house that you do not legally own. There are ways you can do this, especially in the UK I've heard. I simply want to see what everyone else has to say about squatters rights and black market business such as unlicensed (although legit) massage studios and soap labs.

It will only be a waste of time, money and effort if one would put up a business in an establishment that he really does not own.

I don't think squatters should have any rights. I don't know what the laws are here on that but I can't imagine that it is ok to go into and occupy someone elses property just because they are not there. And I'd have to wonder what sort of people would be willing to do business with these people? We do have some homeless people that occupy abandoned factories and whatnot and we call them squatters as well. I don't see how a business that is unlicensed can possibly be "legit". It can't be.
