Musical Coke Bottle!

I could not believe this when I read it, I still can't! http://www.trendhunter.com/trends/cocacola-musicbottle Coca Cola has made a musical coke bottle. I thought the soda industries were going away from catering to children? Okay so now teenagers aren't allowed to have soda but somehow suddenly little kids, sure, you can have some coke! How are you supposed to recycle their precious toy now too? Why not make a musical whistle instead! A musical kite with a string? Instead they want to raise the obesity level in the world by marketing to children. Increasing the diabeties rate that's already high. They'd rather the worlds children beg for coke rather than a little play plastic whistle. Am I really the only one who thinks this is wrong?

From what I was able to find on the Internet, if this device were ever made, it was a VERY limited issue. I found ONE post on eBay for a musical coke bottle which had been sold by someone in Thailand for $3.25 (this sort of thing would be a "Coke Collectible", so you'd expect there to be quite a number of entries if it had been generally produced). It seems just possible that, if it was ever issued, it was a very limited edition published for the Chinese Olympics. The cap was very complex (it included several precision plastic mouldings and a sharp metal part for piercing finger holes in the bottle) and would have been quite costly to produce. On the same page I saw designs for similar 'whistle caps' for use on water bottles. I think that there is no real danger that CocaCola would actually sell more Coke to kids this way.

That's a relief.. I should have done more research clearly. I thought it was just a little cheap flute as a cap type thing that wasn't worth the plastic but a little kid would of course think its great because it makes sound... Obviously not though with your explanation.

I like Coke but I would not let my kid drink it always. It's not that healthy anyway. I just quite surprised too of the musical coke bottle. It will surely increase their sales because of this.

Apparently it didn't last long but I still was surprised by it too. I just think there could be a differen't collectible than this too but it is a good idea for them.

it is a funny game and it is also hugely hilarious where we need to just dance and flunk on each other and the game takes us on a big jumper ride

Thanks a ton for sharing this discussion. Well i am surprised to hear this and i have always felt that cold drinks are never healthy for us for they are full of chemicals which are not good for us. This is a very bad move by the company to attract the children who should not be allowed to consume such things. What say?

Soft drinks are one of the worst for all of us but especially for kids. It seems that this didn't last or was only for collective purposes though as owlings has pointed out. I hadn't thought of that now I feel silly.
