I have few videos in the format of mpg and avi. Now i want to reduce their size to a least one. Are there any free software that are useful for reducing file sizes without damaging it's originality. I tried with total video converter and any video converter, but not satisfied with them. They are not working well for me sometimes. Actuallt i ant to see those movie bits on my mobile. Unfortunately my mobile only supports mp4 and 3gp formats only both of them. I captured a video by using my webcam of the large size of about to 1gb. Is there any chance to reduce it's size to 150 or 250 mb?

Anytime you convert a video to a different format, the quality will decrease since you want to make 1GB file as small as 100 MB, your video quality is going to be terrible, I use Freemake Video Converter and it does a good job, but when you make files smaller the quality will ways be lessened.

Hi, I understand you want to reduce the size of the video file without losing its quality by saying "without damaging its originality." If I am right then, you may be disappointed to know that there is no software yet that can do that. The reason why a file occupies so much disk space are its high video compression, high definition on a bigger screen offering super clear images, and full audio spectrum, from the highest to lowest frequencies that can be appreciated by installing a surround sound system with all the speakers that can handle the sound ranges. You used a webcam that can get 5MP max resolution. Reducing that can only result in an image fitted to be viewed clearly on a screen the size of a postage stamp. Projecting it on that 54-inch LED monitor, you'll only get squares and a blurry image.

I used YTD or youtube downloader, it reduce a little bit compared to AVC or any video converter which last week I uninstalled because of low performance. I like the YTD because most of the time the video you are converted can be viewed in any player. I've been downloading videos for our customers.

If you can read this article then this will help you a lot. http://www.deskshare.com/Resources/articles/dmcpro_ReduceFileSize.aspx or if you just wanted to reduce your file size then you can try 7zip. Download it and compress it to .7z file. Its really good.
