Healthy hair with natural conditioners

I want to give up caring for my dry and thick hair because I have tried everything but it still does not work or has slight effects. I used ellipse hair vitamin but lately my hair does not respond anymore and I need to reapply over and over again. Conditioners make it light but not really smooth and L'Oreal do the same thing. I heard about using olive oil and I apply it but it's similar to baby oil which makes it brittle afterwards when you leave it for a long time. Now I combine a thick leave-on hair styling cream- Splash control Hair Cream and the olive oil and it shows good results. My hair starts to get smooth, manageable and even shiny. I need a commercial hair cream and a natural oil to make it work. Now it really works better than the hair mask available at Watsons or HBC. To make a good conditioner you need a thick hair cream mask and a vegetable oil like olive oil. I plan to substitute other oils like virgin coconut oil or soybean oil or almond oil if they are available and see if it also works.

Shampoos and conditioners do contain silicone which makes you hair soft but it will also close down the complete hair so in the end it won't be that great anymore. There are plenty of simple methouds (like a mask of olive oil or using vaseline) to make dry hair better. BTW also your food is important, the way you treat your hair (the way you wash and dry it and long hair should be tied up/braided during the night to prevent damage), etc. It's also an illusion that you can get healthy hair in a short time. Hair doesn't grow that fast.

It's my first time to hear about silicone in shampoos and conditioners. I had tried almost all kinds of shampoos in the market and I want to blame them for my dry hair. I used to have baby fine hair but it changes however, I think this has something to do with genetics because my other sister has a fine hair and it does not change even with lots of shampoos. It's good to know about that.

You don't wash your hair every day, do you? Because that will give you dry hair.

That's a great hair care tip.But olive oil is expensive. Yes you can actually use virgin coconut oil or ordinary coconut oil. For my hair, I only apply plain coconut oil and leave it at least 20 minutes before shampooing my hair. I do this twice or thrice a week so my hair is always soft and shiny.

It's cheaper. One bottle of olive oil around 120 pesos, Cream silk mask around 250 pesos and hair rebond 1000 pesos. Splash around 25 pesos and you can use it as often as you want.
