A Stinking Mess

Pickle juice...not something I intended to clean up all over the bottom of the fridge (including the two crispers) while shakey and just wanted to fix a salad. OMG, what a stinking mess! My blood sugar was around 85 when I checked it alittle before that, I already had an orange to try to bring it back up. Then after I cleaned the huge mess I had a half of a small sandwhich so I hop it brings it up to at least 100, which is normally better and stable. The lowest I have had this was 60 when I was still taking care of my Grandmother with dementia, diabetes, and other illnesses. I was talking on the phone to my mom, before I had to get her breakfast and insulin needle and had to lie down on the couch. It felt so wierd! I didn't get much sleep last night either, so am kind of tired, too. Just couldn't sleep, insomnia reared it's ugly head again. I was so tired and yet nothing would let me sleep, sounds outside, inside, thinking too much. I can't wait to get some much needed sleep again. A friend of mine said that I actually cleaned the fridge without even realizing it with the vinegar in the pickle juice, haha. I didn't think of that. And to get rid of the smell to put a box of baking soda in there. Another good tip. She is one of the smartest friends I have! :-)

Well, just take it slow, and be in bed. You'll catch your sleep. Just stop thinking too much. It is also one of the primary causes of insomnia. If you wanna think, just think of the good stuff so you'd be relaxed.

I finally did get some much sleep last night even with all of the storming going on out there. It did wake me up slightly here and there but I guess I was so tired I fell back to sleep again. I needed it so much. I hope I can do that tonight a well.

I hope you feel a little better, and just sit back and relax for yourself. It's the sugar in the pickle juice that makes it sticky but it is viegar. Baking Soda will help with the stink, I always have a carton in my fridge.

Thanks, I will try to. This sleep deprivation I'm going through right now is not helping matters, plus other little wierdnesses going on too. I'm guessing the menopause stuff and/or thyroid. It was as much sticky as it was stinky, haha. I did get most of the smell and the juice itself up and cleaned.

No I didn't know that. I should tell my brother and dad--they both have a cough and colds. I'm not sure if one got it from the other but my dad doesn't dress well for winter when he goes out. He won't listen to us either when we tell him to dress warmer. Then wonders why he gets sick. Then brings the cold in to us.
