it already 2 month i stay alone with my family .
we already have 3 housemate including me. last month we get a new washing machine.
this month we have decide to buy a gas for cooking, so that we can save more money.
but for now, we just cook the rice but others still buy for the nearer shop.
we still don't have much time to cook much.
slowly we try to cope with it.
if u. which u choose? buy the food or cook. if u have to go to work 8-5pm every weekdays

If all of you barely has the time to cook, then buying cooked food is the best option. But during weekends, maybe you could chip in so that you can save a lot on your food.
.. its already almost 2 week we cook.
we take turn. each day one person cook for all of us .
hehe... so far , we still can manage it as we still don't have so many work..

This seems like a choice between time or money. What I use to do is cook on week-ends things that could just be warmed up to make a meal. But I had a way to keep them cold and a microwave to heat in. If you don't have these I would think cooking would be just to timely for you.

I see this response is two months, so I hope you have settled down nicely in your new home. I think I prefer to buy the food, as I am no cook! I don't have any patience when it comes to cooking. Hope you are ok.
