American Idol 12- Idol Judges Qualms :Nikki Minaj Vs. Mariah Carey?

Who is watching American Idol Season 12?
I mean is it just my obervation or are you seeing it too?
I do not mean to spark the fire but i guess the fire has already started between Nikki Minaj and Mariah Carey. Don't you think so? First of all, i just wanna say i miss Jlo as American Idol judge for the last two seasons, her fashion and her comments are really genuine. Its weird but i miss Tyler too and his antiques.
With Season 12 just starting, i do not have my favorite contestants yet i have to wait until Hollywood week to see who really shines.
But with Mariah Carey and Nikki? I mean what is the deal with them? Nikki is somehow trying to insult Mariah's comments and she always makes faces.
I am a Mariah fan for so so many long ago and i admire her for making a comeback and reviving her career. I mean she has nothing to prove anymore, she has done so much for the industry and has inspired so many people already. Somehow Nikki is belittling her and her talent and i do not like Nikki anymore.
Any thoughts to share?

Nicki Minaj is making a fool of herself on national TV. First of all her voice is so iratating. Has for her outfits she is trying to be Lady Gaga. On top of all that she is rude and obnoxious treating Mariah Carey like that. If its for the rating its not making me want to watch it. This past Wednesday night she wasn't being mean to Mariah but last week she was. I also don't think Nicki has the right to be judging since she is only in the business about five years. I don't think I will be watching because I'm just not feeling the chemistry with these judges at all.

yeah you are right she really does not deserve to be the judge and the chemistry between Idol judges are just off. With Nicki around i doubt if anything good well come out of it. Surely the winner for this season will be Ryan Seacrest just the same..LOL!

Why do I have this feeling that what you have said between Mariah and Nikki is just for the show and not really happening in real life. Like you said Mariah has proved a lot already. She's already an icon in the industry, and Nikki is... Nikki Minaj! Do you think they're doing it to improve the ratings? Well, I don't know it's just my opinion.

Its just for the show, recently i am watching American Idol, they have stopped arguing infront of camera and contestants. But really Nicki cannot stop herself making faces when Mariah is still giving her comments.

I feel the same way. I like nikki minaj but I think her attitude towards mariah is just inappropriate. I love mariah and I know her songs from old to new and I think she is a very accomplished person in the place of musicians everywhere and I am just so disappointed with the way nikki minaj has been somewhat bullying mariah on AI. I'm not saying that she's really bullying mariah out there but that's just my interpretation of her actions and words toward mariah.

Jennifer Lopez wished to be part of this year's American Idol however, she got her commits sign from her Album World Tour which started just mid last year and now.
Well on the part of Nikki and Mariah Carey, their feud started earlier on the American Idol audition wherein they had a misunderstanding starting back when Nikki heard some gossip lurking on the set that Mariah was quite being fake on her actions towards the show. As a strong person, Nikki was overwhelmed by her feelings and bursts out without even thinking of her composure.
In my take, this so childish and this should be over and not taking too serious, unless both need to make such issues just to make a publicity stunt which results to more headlines about themselves.
This is a common take on celebrities both making a headline be it negative or positive.

I really missed Jennifer Lopez, her clothes, her hair i mean that is one reason why i watch American Idol, always waiting for her to come out. And we know that they have chemistry too, but with this recent American idol judges? it is clear that the two girls do not like each other and i really do not like Nicki's attitude towards Mariah and it is kind of annoying not entertaining.

it's just clear that nicki's insecure of mariah. even in the first episode when an alumna of camp mariah auditioned, she rolled her eyes when mariah asked for the photo.

She is really insecure and whatever she does and no matter how popular she is right now she can never surpass what Mariah has already achieved in Music Industry. I hate it when she keeps on making faces when it is Mariah's turn to comment, she always want to keep her its like telling Mariah.. Oh! Shut up.

I don't watch that program. I do know Mariah Carey. But who's Nikki Minaj? People in my country like Mariah Carey very much, even some very famous singers sing Mariah's songs in public. I like her too.I was always wondering is Mariah Carey white or black?

I love Mariah Carey... and she really looks very classy beside Nikka Minaj... or she looks more like a Barbie Doll than Nikki... and i think that is the reason why the latter is feeling so insecure... but nevertheless... the banter between the two is getting a little tiresome... good thing the producer are now featuring more on the contestants rather than the judges...

My favourite is Keith Urban! He is kind and passionate with the contestants, especially when he likes someone's voice! Mariah acts like a diva but she gives genuine and honest opinions and nikki minaj doesn't make any serious judging work in my opinion. I still watch the shpw though and I am curious about whats going to happen when they go to hollywood. However I feel like they have already decided who they are going to send, did you get that feeling too? I mean that they rarely disagree between them about wether they like someone or not. They all say Yes, or they all say No. They don't have a lot of personal opinion when it comes to judging.
I didn't follow the last season from the beginning but I also liked JLo from the few epeisodes that I watched!

Mariah Carey being the true Diva that she is, she is trying to be kind to contestants and yes Keith is good in giving points to improve, he is taking his job seriously and i like him for that. And who do you think is having all the say? The old DAwg...i never liked him. He likes playing God Almighty. That is why Jessica Sanchez did not won last time. It is his doings...my opinion though. Peace.

Well the show should not be about the two of them, It's supposed to be about trying to look for the next American Idol. I think it's both their fault trying to start something like you know they be trying to steal the spotlight or something. Well, I hope they get over this childish thing soon anyway.

I love american idol.. have watched every season. Im sure these judges are picked for that reason. No one wants o see them be boring. There always has to be fights, to make the show great. Same is happening like with Simon, and Paula....

just a gimmick? because they are both new in the program, they need to make impact and sometimes, these qualms and quarrels, can add spice to the program. American Idol is not as popular as it was before, specially when Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell and Randy and the other woman I forgot her name. It was obvious that when Paula and Simon fights on some matters the program seem to go on trending.

No, don't be carried it is showbiz we don't even knew if they are just acting. Mariah Carey is a well known personality way ahead compare to Nikkie the atitude of Nikki is one of attracting audience and for her to ride on the popularity of Mariah Carey.

I dont wanna mind Nicki anymore since Mariah is really my favorite. Mariah has control on showing bad behavior in the show when being insulted by Nicki or annoyed by trying hard AI hopefuls. I love the way she hears if the contestant is going off key just shows how professional and knowledgeable she is on music. Aside from that I think Keith Urban is also good at judging and is also very cool and funny. Its good that theres a different mix of judges this season making the show more interesting. I just noticed as well that Nicki Minaj looks animated all the time because of her fake eyelashes, bright lipstick, and colorful hair. I hated her the first time but slowly Im starting to accept that she will be judging this whole AI season 12.
