Hi, my dear Mylotters~ You probably already know that I quit my job about four days ago. I got a new job last Thursday and was waiting for the notice as to when to start. This morning, I got this call from my new employee. She told me that my enrollment time would be this Tuesday and was telling me all the things I need to bring on the first day of work. I was listening very intently when my bf, sitting in front of the laptop reading his morning news, decided to let out a long stream of gas. And MAN, was that LOUD! I was like "OMG, I hope she didn't hear it and think it was me". I tried so hard to keep my composure. Till now I still couldn't help but wonder whether she heard it or not. I sure hope she didn't. So then, it comes to the question. Some times in our lives, we have to let the gas out. And some must be embarrassing while some must be hilarious. What was your most memorable occasion and how did you handle it afterwards?

Firstly, let me say that I find this story HILARIOUS and you've made my day lol. If I fart in someone's presence and there's no way to hide the fact I just carry on talking a bit louder than usual, and hope they don't notice. Yeh, right! Mum has problems in this area as she suffers from Irritable Bowel Syndrome. If we ever go to Town (I don't actually live with my parents now but over 100 miles away..I visit when I can) she has been known to 'wander off' and I have to go and find her. I'll ask her, 'Why did you wander off like that!' and she'll say, 'I had to fart.' Haha! She does hate the fact she has no control over her bowels but I think the best thing to do is to laugh it off. However, that's all well and good if it happens to other people but when it's YOU..well, that's completely different and ends up being highly embarrassing rather than funny! If you get funny looks at your new employers (congratulations by the way) tell them it was one of those 'buddy movies' on TV. Guys always fart on those. Perhaps your bf should audition?

Funny thing! No way could your bf hold back it when he was itching to break wind, only he never thought it was up to so many decibels. As to whether or not she heard it,her expressions will let the cat out of the bag when you report to her.It gives me much pleasure to hear of your getting a new job.

Hi, your bf has not done good at all. Probably he an impatient person. If he is well educated and having good personality, then he can rectify it at his own try but if not he will never be alright and he will repeat the same thing in future as well. I am sorry for the comment on your bf. Have a very nice day. .

I don't mind sometimes we fart and just laugh it off. But this time it was a bit inappropriate. But then again, he couldn't understand what I'm saying. If he knew it was my boss, he probably would have hold it.

I doubt she did hear it. If you call someone you are busy telling your message and listening to a respond. It's seldom people hear everything that is going on at the background. Might be a good idea if your bf is changing his diet, unless he is sick, since it's not normal to "let the gas out" that loud. Unless you eat things your intestines have a hard time to digest.

Yeah, I wouldn't count on that. Asking him to change his diet, no way~ I've tried so hard and I've decided to give it up.
