My car has quirks!

Yes my 1989 Oldsmible Delta 88 does and I love it! I have found out the left signal light and the right head light have shorts in thw wiring. So sometimes I have to hand operate my signal light when turning to the left. With the light a friend was going to change the bulb. To was to had to get to the light to place it. The battery would need to taken out. Soon as the hood of the car was slammed shut the light went on! As long as I have no big issues with the lights and signal lights I don't mind this at all! With it being so cold lately I thought my car needed more anit-freeze after the light came on to tell it was low. it turns out I had enough in there. The car was working OT thanks to the weather some the anti-freeze ended up in the overflow tank and that is why the light went on! I also have not been able to spray windshield wiper cleaner on my car's front window! I thought I either had froze lines or the tank had a hole in it! Turns out the pump needs replacing and that is no big deal! Compared to my last car, this Oldsmobile is so much better then that Neon! So quirkers don't bother me!

Sometimes they are alot like people....they have their own personalities and that is what makes them special to us! I love my car....as much today as the day I bought it six years ago!

Owning a car is like some of people! They have personalities and this one sure does! To make it have more personality it has floor mats with the Tazmanian Devil on them dressed in fishing clothes and holding a fishing rod! They came with the car and I like them! I have owned my car a year now and I love it!

We have an Oldsmobile too where the left signal doesn't work unless you move it manually. Other then that its still a pretty good car!

This car of mine does have its quirks but over all it is a good car! I bought it a year ago with just over 93,000 on it! It came with funny floor mats, too! The mats have the Tazmanian Devil dressed to go fishing and holding a fishing rod! I never got rid of them! Of all the cars I have owned this one has the most personality and I like that!

The headlight issue sounds like a bulb problem, to me. Headlight bulbs are not very expensive, and are easily replaced. The other possibility is a bad ground wire causing the problem. Again, an easily corrected problem. Clean up the ground connection with a wire brush. Good luck.

@blue65packer You should replace that serpentine belt as soon as possible or you may not be driving anywhere.

My male friends thought the light problems were the bulbs. After one friend look things over he knew it was not a bulb issue. It has to be a wire issue. As long as I have no big issues with the light, front or back, I won't worry about! My biggest concern now is getting anew serpetine belt replaced which I know does.
