Who really coined the word reincarnation? Is there any proofs behind it? What do you think?

No, I do not. But the famous actress Shirley MacClaine does, and she claims she has been several people before being born Shirley McClaine.

I am not sure but I think part of you lives on when you die in your children and gets passed down from generation to generation.

I am not here to prove or disprove if reincarnation exists as it is up to the Individual to make his or her own conclusions but there are some startling reports of know persons who claim they have tapped into their past lives. I myself have taken part in past life regression and believe I have existed before, but that is only my biased opinion drawn through my own personal conclusions.I like the idea of reincarnation because it makes more sense dealing with cause and effect but not limiting every thing to Karmic reactions as we have Divine Wisdom and other attributes as Compassion that can hep us alter our destinies and assist others to ‘wake up’ from their sleep also.In terms of actual personalities or identities staying intact through this transformation well. I’d like to believe it.

I think Majority of the people who believes in reincarnation are buddhists and hindus. We were buddhist before and part of what we have strongly believed before are the concept of Karma and the concept of our topic here, the reincarnation. I personally do not know where this has come about, but i think it is more likey similar to the fact that whatever you do may be the thing that defines your fate (karma in this life) when you happen to be born again. But there was a cycle and this cycle meant that the highest possibility is when you are already made into a human. other parts of the reincarnation is that you may have been reincarnated into an animal, until you are perfected (your soul that is).

Not sure about the idea as a whole, but there could be some believable points about it. God can do anything, though.

It is a belief of the Hindus. And I am not sure if there had been physical proof of this, but they do honor certain living things and think that their departed relatives's soul were transferred on that living thing. They say that the earthly body may have decomposed but their souls will remain earth found till eternity.
