I like cooking and its a passion for me. But most of the time I do not feel like making even a simple meal for me. Recently I started staying out of my city away from my parents and since I can't get food from outside everyday, I cook my food and eat. But I don't know whats wrong with me I am not feeling the urge even to make my lunch or dinner. Today I cooked only pasta for lunch with some fried vegetables but now I am feeling too lazy to go to the kitchen and make some thing for dinner. I know many of you out there will be feeling the same. They love cooking but feel too lazy to cook :P

Yes, you are very right. I also feel the same. Some times, we feel that cooking is burden. Then we took dinner outside. have a very nice day.

I love to cook too especially if there's something to cook, lol! seriously, there are good days and bad days, i mean there's really a time when you're really up and about and really having that urge to do things and there are times when you just simply want to do nothing. All in all, i think just a normal thing to have those in a balance i guess.

It really comes from time to time when we do not like to do the things we usually love doing. I have that same problem too when there are days that i do not like to cook or do the laundry, feeling so tired, but then again we have no choice but to do them anyway since unless of course if you are alone and you stay by yourself, you can do away with it and do them later when you feel like doing it. But when you are living with kids and husband, laziness is a no no. I have to work day in and night because my time is really limited and things do file up faster when you leave them undone. Try watching cooking shows because i usually do that when i do not feel like cooking. You can try out the new recipes that you find in the website or cooking shows, that way my excitement for cooking comes back too. Cheers!

It does get tiring, doesn't it? I live alone too and I like to cook, but not all the time. Sometimes I just want something light, like a sandwich, or just soup. What I do most of the time though, is cook at least 2 larger dinners, like chicken pieces or hamburgers, but freeze some of it for another day in a plastic freezer bag. This way on days I don't feel like cooking, I just take that out and heat it up. I've already froze squash too and desserts..all for my lazy days.

Oh I know exactly how you feel. I've been cooking for 36 years now and I'm tired of it! Its more that I'm bored with the same dinners I believe then anything else. Even though I will change a few things its just so much work sometimes. I wish I had a cook come in for at least three days of the week. That would make me so happy. I cooked for my girls while they were growing up while having a full time job. Now its just me and my hubby and I'm retired but I'm still not always in the mood. Thankfully he will take me out on the weekend sometimes.

Hello Adity welcome to Mylot, I´m glad to read your post. Don´t worry too much darling, it arrives. Sometimes we are up, sometimes we are down. Try to play a little with the routine, change your routine. I felt the same as you 6 months ago http://www.mylot.com/w/discussions/2697448.aspx and I got some wonderful advices to change routine, as eating outside, buying prepared food, cooking in the microwave some easy things, letting children cook some days. Don´t worry, take a breath, change routine, an soon you´ll be cooking with passion again. Blessings Adity... dainy

I love to cook, but I don`t like to cook just for me. Sometimes, I even have wonderful leftovers that I can just heat in the oven or at the microwave, but I`d rather make a sandwich and bring it to my bedroom and watch some TV while I eat. I always have cheese, ham and cooked chicken to use. Most of those days I only drink coffee at diner and a banana.

I think if we cook every day all of us get a day where we just dont want to do it. There is nothing wrong with having a bite out once in awhile as long as it does not become a habit every day. For me while I make a good teriaki I crave chinese food I dont know how to cook. So mostly when I am out I am still eating healthy as I am opting for chinese and all the veggies. Have a wonderful day in whatever you choose to eat.

I do love to cook and I'm pretty darn good at it too. There are days I don't want to even get in that kitchen but hunger prevails, and I end up making at least something simple if nothing more.

I also tend to cook depending on the mood. Like how you put it, even though I like to cooking but there are days that I have no mood and don’t feel to cooking. Although of course I prefer to eat my own cooking since if you eat outside, you won’t know whether your food is laden with MSG or not. And it’s cheaper to eat your own cooking after all. But it’s not hurt to eat outside every once in a while as long as you don’t make it habit.
