having a problem help pls ........ abt usb pendrive

there is one pendrive where it shows write protected ...... no matter what is one ... cant seem to solve the problem :( note that there is write protect switch on it ..... but that is not working swtiching off..... how can it be formatted , the partition shows raw... in disk management .. How to fix it .. urgent help pls ?

It is perhaps a hardware failure with nothing to do. Download Check Flash -- http://mikelab.kiev.ua/index_en.php?page=PROGRAMS/chkflsh_en -- and try to do a full partition cleaning. If it works, reformat your pendrive.

Thanks mate greatly appreciated ... but something went wrong .... now it shows bad disk .. with wiped partition .. any idea ??? :P

Have you saved the Master Boot Record with Check Flash ? If yes you can restore it to fix the partition table and get rid of this error, else... well, else I know how to fix a partition table using fdisk under Linux, but I don't know how to do it under Windows, sorry, but maybe MBRFix, a free utility can do it. You can download MBRFix here : http://www.sysint.no/products/Download/tabid/536/language/en-US/Default.aspx Read the doc and be careful with this tool if you use it. Good luck.
