The topic may be true in some parts of the glove. If by chance, you happened to be at the site described above, what comes to mind? Any reaction?

What comes to my mind is disappointment and frustrated. Disappointed because the parents of the child did not think of their responsibilities prior to conceiving a child. They think that just because they got married, they have the right to have a child without even realizing their duties and obligations for the child. Frustrated because our government do not hold a a very good program for children like them. Why couldn't each mayor of the cities on our country, particularly in Metro Manila, clean up the city, not just by making it garbage-free but as well as providing shelter to these street children and other adult beggars.

That's the essence of the RH bill and now that it's a law, parents and government must work hand in hand to give a better life for the needy.

Wake up call is what they need. It's our duty and we should do it.

I just hope that the RH Bill does work. You know how some of our laws could be just stuck in written in the constitution and yet there has been no action taken about them.

The first thing that would come to my mind is to help the child. And I would give them food and money if I had extra to give. I would not place blame on anyone, not the parents or anyone else. Sometimes things happen beyond our control, even as parents. There is sometimes nothing more we can do than what we are doing already... Bad things happen to good people. So, it is no one's fault sometimes. I would help the best I could and pray for the family...

In my country you see such children once in a while. But if they beg, there is always a grown up ready to take away whatever money you give to them. When chidren beggars come to my door, I bring them into my garden inside the fence, prepare a sandwich and tell them not to leave until they finish eating.

Nothing, I just saw and see it too frequently. Depends on the person if I will take some food with me (or something else) next time.

NGOs and branches of government of government can save them from filth and poverty if they're serious in their mission.

The scenario simply happens in my country, children rummaging garbage in search for food or begging in the streets simply because the parents cannot afford to give them a decent life. The government can only do so much as it can't certainly feed all poor people. Besides that, receiving help oftentimes makes some people too lazy to find work. My only hope for parents who can't afford to feed their children is to apply some birth control measures and stop from having more and more deprived children. As parents, it is their responsibility to see to it that their children receive the basic necessities in life and that includes education and proper food. My heart breaks to see these children being deprived of their rights which often leads them to commit crimes.

So, you don't think sometimes things happen beyond the parents control? You don't think something bad could happen to you and you could end up being homeless someday? You don't think you would ever be in that situation? What if you lost your job tomorrow? Or your husband lost his job tomorrow? What if you had no help and no money coming in? It could happen to any of us... Things happen sometimes that even parents cannot control. We are not super hero's, we are merely humans...Sometimes bad things happen to good people! I never thought I would end up homeless either, but guess what? My husband lost his job at one point, the landlord kicked us out, we had no family to help and we ended up being homeless, living in a tent and hungry. You never know what tomorrow will bring, so before judging the parents maybe we should have more sympathy for them instead because after all-that could be you one day...

Faith in a supreme being, presence of mind and the will to live are some life-saving principles we can hang on to. As to poor kids, let's hope for the government to solve the problem.

Pity of course but then again, I wonder where their irresponsible parents are. Young ones aren't supposed to endure this kind of existence.

Like it or not the poor kids have no other choice. By pen like what we are doing now we can wake the government and other concerned agencies up to do something.

It is defintely heart wrenching. I blame the parents where in the world they are, allowing their children to roam around and look for food. The social workers and the government need to help these poor children. :-(

Many things coming to my mind everytime I see a child that were bound to see poverty in their very young and tender age. I would blame their parents, question what are the plans or being done of our govt for them, what i can do to help, and I would even wish to win millions in Lotto and share some of it to these unfortunate little souls. So sad reality we see everyday specially in poor countries like mine.

The problem is indeed compounded. Yes, we can do much help to them if lotto blows on our side.

I am lucky not to experienced what a child experienced and will pronounce those people of not favoring abortion and who priorities animals than human as idiots and plastic people.
