I am planning my trip to Ukraine by train from England. I read about a tram line along the Belgium coastline and I believe that would be fun for my children. Nearby that lovely sandy coast is a place known as the Venice of the north. It is Bruges and it has pretty buildings and picturesque canals. I have been there a few times before and think it looks wonderful in any season.
Our train we are thinking of getting goes from Amsterdam to Prague. I loved visiting Delft a town where the famous pottery is produced. It is blue and white. I liked seeing the water side there and all the pretty buildings. I fancy going back to there before going onto Amsterdam.
Sadly accommodation is pricey in both Belgium and the Netherlands. What do you think?

That was my first train trip abroad, from Bruges to Amsterdam, after the Eurostar we changed at Bruges then went onto Amsterdam, I remember also travelling on a double decker train onto Delft. I think it's a wonderful adventure especially for the children to travel by train in a foreign country. You are right about the cost of accommodation.

It is great to have a rail track running through such a route. I think that officials in the countries on such a track should offer special offers for tourists to come and stay at places close to these tracks. May be, you can search for affordable locations at such places. A group tour could be great, but then, it is not always easy to form a group for traveling purpose.
